Pat Dobson was one of four 20 game winners on the 1971 Baltimore Orioles. They played the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series. Hall of Famer Pie Traynor predicted the Orioles would win because they had an outstanding third baseman. Dobson started the first night game in World Series history. The Pirates won game 7 when Boog Powel cut off the relay throw to home plate that let Stargell score the winning run.
