6'11 from London, UK. Played a year at Eastern Washington before JUCO. In his highlight video he looks more like a thin big that runs the floor and not a banger on the inside. I dont know much about him though www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTQDOYavJ-Q

Taking a quick peek at his video, it is clear he can dunk with 2 hands and in some traffic on occasion. A good compliment to Noel Brown and 5 more fouls from the 5 spot.
Brown seemed to develop a ton as a Bonnie compared to the previous year at GW. Hopefully Mike has the same type of development!

My initial comparison of Mike Folarin is former Bonnie Annour Mellouk. Skinny, athletic and looks to dunk everything. Limited. Folarin is a taller version. gobonnies.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4461

Hermit my man, you don’t read entire books do you? I said Folarin is a taller version so you listing the heights doesn’t make me understand it better. I know he’s taller and heavier. With height obv comes some more weight usually. I was more so referring to style and as I said just an initial comparison off of a quick clip.

One of his highlight videos claims he has a 7’4 wingspan. That’s pretty big time

Love the informed evaluation from the Bandwagon. How about this.... Maybe he will be good? Maybe he won't?

Michael Folarin originally from London. Prep school — Graduated from Bella Vista College Preparatory School in Scottsdale, Ariz. in 2021. — Described as athletic big man with 7’4” wingspan. Very impressive 38” vertical, especially from a person who is 6'11". Athleticism is on display with him setting school record running 100 meter hurdles. — Ranked #1 center in Arizona's 2021 class. Named the MVP of the Alice Watson Memorial Tournament as a junior in 2020. Eastern Washington (freshman year) — With his signing coach stated “we are excited to have a player with Michael's talent and ceiling coming into our program. He's long, quick, and has a hunger to develop his game.” — Minimal stats at Eastern Washington; 9 games, 4.8 minutes per game and 2 ppg. — Transferred to Nevada. Sustained a preseason injury that forced him to sit out the season and red-shirt. — Transferred to Salt Lake CC. Salt Lake CC (sophomore year) — #3 ranked JUCO team with 30-4 record. — Team is extremely tall with 4 bigs (7’1’, 6’11”, 6’11” and 6’9”) all receiving significant PT. Among these players Folarin is 3rd in PT at 17.5 minutes per game. With his stats, need to consider he barely plays half the game. — Folarin increased his stats during conference games averaging; 8.8 ppg (6th on team), 6.7 rpg (2nd) and best field goal percentage on team at 58.5%. — A lot of competition among the bigs as 3 of them (including Folarin) were among the top 6 scorers on the team. 6’11” 230 pounds Michael Folarin is a tall and good size center, who is very athletic. Stats indicate a solid rebounder with impressive FG%. With his size and athleticism, Folarin has a lot of untapped potential. slccbruins.com/sports/mens-basketball/rosterwww.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2023-24/div1/teams/saltlakecommunitycollege?sort=ptspg&tmpl=teaminfo-network-monospace-template

Chuck, thanks for the information. Is it possible he could receive a redshirt as well for his year at eastern Washington with only playing 9 games? I know he got one for the year at Nevada.

He looks like he can run the floor and not slow down the offense. Hopefully him and Noel can handle the boards down low. They now have what looks to be good shooter, good slashers and good athletic bigs. If these new players can gel then you have to give the staff credit. all new players definitely look very athletic and most have better shooting percentages. Pride/ Mika/ venning/yann were all very slow players and you could see them struggle against quicker opponents. Hopefully, these guys are quicker and can shoot a better percentage.
