If this team wins big this year, it won't be because of their offense. In addition to being offensively challenged, the depth at PF and C seems worrying. We will need significant contributions from Thompson, Kaba, Folarin or Wedlow to be competitive in the A10 this coming year. When was the last time we had depth and quality at PF? Most seasons we have played a 3 at the 4 position. And last year was the first time in a long time we had a decent backup center, who likely will be our starter this season. As others have said here, the Bonnies usually roll or stumble based on offensive play of the guards/wings. We have plenty of depth and options at the 1, 2 and 3 this season. Let’s hope we play hard/smart on D … and a couple guys can knock down threes consistently because we have more athleticism than in past years. I see us being a .500 team in the A10 and hopefully gelling/improving by mid to late February— something we did no do last season. Playing a “3” at the “4” position is something Schmidt likes to do to gain an advantage with a quicker player though. Just saying it hasn’t always been out of desperation That’s why I think we could see Chance Moore starting at that spot this year Something like Bowen Council Edwards Moore Brown Then when you need an offensive spark you could always move Edwards out, Moore down to the 3 and bring in Kaba or Thompson for their shooting at the 4

Don't forget LaJae Jones - He may be that Dion Wright type of player we have been missing.

I think you have to get four or five games into the season before any player worth his stuff is ready.

Schmidt has a proven history of being able to get teams to come together and play their best ball starting in late January and finishing strong. Last season was the exception and if what we heard last season was correct, that was because of one player who is no longer on the team, so maybe that will be addition by subtraction and we’ll see a return to normality this season. It’s all about in season development, the basis for which is started this time of year. We may be 6 to 8 months from seeing that development but hopefully they will put the work in now to set up future success.

I can’t recall the last time the team has peaked for the playoffs. We are living in a new era of Bona Basketball. We have no idea how this roster will perform and much less about the competition. I have no expectations based on no knowledge.
