Chance Moore is an enigma, yet quite possibly the key to a successful Bona season. He came out of high school a 4 star top 100 recruit and signed with Arkansas. He saw little time and transferred to Missouri St. where he earned All-Bench team honors averaging 11 points a game. It did seem Bonnies made him a top priority. The scrimmage I saw had him playing the 4 with LaJae playing the 3. It was a competitive scrimmage but I thought a bit sloppy with a lot of missed shots. For whatever reason, we did not get to see Chance Moore work out as much as some of the other players. The scrimmage gave no indication of what type of player he is. He came out of high school listed as a guard. I’m hoping he finds a home at the 4 and coach helps him reach his potential. Thrown into the mix is Noah. Coach evidently thought he needed more than what he had. I have yet to see him play so I can’t comment. The 3 and the 4? Still to be determined.

From the analysis by Chuck and others, it seems these Bonnies have the adaptability to play in various ways, i.e. 2/3 and 3/4 hybrids.
Strap in, folks. I anticipate a fresh and fun campaign. Talent, flexibility, "coachability".

and buy your game program! We will need the uniform #s to figure out who is who. I think everyone they recruited is 6-8 and weighs 205.

I quoted the above from his post, because it brings up something that can be debated. Chance is an Enigma — with 15 P6 offers, Chance is probably Schmidt’s most highly ranked recruit at Bona. Hermit very well could be correct with “quite possibly the key to a successful Bona season.” I wonder if playing out of position is a reason why Chance hasn’t reached his potential. Last season, Chance attempted more shots behind the arc than inside (149-130). The problem is Chance is a much better scorer from 2s than 3s (54.6% to 29.5%). Would moving Chance to PF (get closer shots to the basket) help Chance reach his potential? The 3 and the 4? Still to be determined — Prior to watching Lajae this summer, I thought he would play the 3. I’m surprised to see Lajae being a more physical player than I anticipated. He reminds me of Barry Munger. Lajae can play either spot, but I feel PF is the more natural position for him. Schmidt also has a tendency to have players at a bigger position. I wonder if Noah’s signing is a result of Schmidt wanting more competition at the 3. I’m more inclined to think, it is more the 3 spot that needs to be determined. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/missouri-state/men/2024.html

when it comes down to it, Lajae Jones and the french phenom may have a lot of talent but Chance Moore is a seasoned D1 veteran that will be unfazed by the atmosphere. We have many early games on the road, I think Moore will see the court more in those games and in A10 games in crunch time. It may not matter who starts
Look at the experience level of a lineup like this Bowen 51 D1 games Council 33 Edwards 42 Moore 67 Brown 101
to me that lineup is tempting to put together

Whoa, this kid is the grandson of Leonard skinnard, wow No he isn't. His grandfather is Leonard Skinner who taught physical education to some of the guys in the band during high school, so they decided to name their band Lynyrd Skynyrd in his honor.

His grandfather is Leonard Skinner who taught physical education to some of the guys in the band during high school, so they decided to name their band Lynyrd Skynyrd in his honor. Everything above is correct except the last 3 words “in his honor” actually it was quite the opposite. How Lynyrd Skynyrd came up with their name is a great story. In the Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary “If I Leave Here Tomorrow” they shared how the band got their name. The band was trading ideas for a new name for the band. Guitarist Gary Rossington arrived and was upset saying he just dropped out of school. They asked him why. Gary said it is that Leonard Skinner as he wrote me up again for my long hair (all the members of the band were disciplined by Skinner for their long hair). Gary said I was going to be suspended, so I just quit. All of a sudden drummer Bob Burns said that is it the name should be Leonard Skinner, which they changed to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Zorro is correct there are 2 different Chance Moore. It is the Chance Moore that plays baseball, who has a grandfather named Leonard Skinner. www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2010/09/20/129998674/leonard-skinner----the-coach-who-made-rock-n-roll-history----has-dieden.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Skinner
