Years ago, maybe decades now, Bonas, without offering a degree in Engineering on its own, offered a Progran in conjunction with I think Detroit University that was a five year joint program where student would attend Bonas for four years, then Detroit for a fifth year, graduating with a Masters In Engineering. Does Bonas still offer that or something similar? Ok I realize I could check elsewhere forbthe answer, but I always prefer asking about anything Bonas on the BW. Maybe I’m just lazy, I don’t know.

It was a joint Catholic college program, two years at Bonas for pre-engineering and three at Mercy Detroit for the bs and masters. By the way our last Bona Varsity QB, Ted Marchiboda landed at Mercy after the 1951 season. The decision after the season to end the SBU football program stunned the university and alum base by the way.

THANK YOU STUDENTS FOR CHOOSING AND ATTENDING ST BONAVENTURE and THANK YOU PARENTS FOR SENDING YOUR CHILDREN TO BONAS !!
Yes, SBU will have to re-invent itself. Engineering and Medical careers is what is needed in the future.
As for the teaching profession - good luck. The students have more say than the teacher and if you fail one of their little brats, they are coming for you.
Business - AI is changing the way this profession will go though the future. The bottom line numbers will dictate how the company is run - vs - employee dedication.
With that said, teach your children well .

Bona does not have engineering now. Current close options include u.b. Alfred tech,Alfred u. And upb… Current Bonnie’s seem to focus on BEER PONG and deafening Sound Systems…. Limited career options in those too.

Skeller6 is correct, Bona's had an engineering program, 2 years at Bona's 3 at Detroit, but it wasn't called Detroit Mercy, at that time. It was a popular major, but after 2 years, many decided to stay at Bona and changed majors.
