Gannon University in Erie is merging with another Catholic school, Ursuline College in Cleveland. The schools are in the “due diligence phase” now. The combined school will have 6,000 students and 1,300 staff, which I think makes it larger then Bonas, Canisius or Niagara. No new name or effective date was mentioned in the story in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

That is not going to fly....two campuses separated by two hours and many miles.......sounds like the crazy plan that was drawn up by Sister "No Beer on Campus", to merge with Hilbert College.....how did that one work out??

New Competition for Regional Students --- The Greater Olean Area Raurltropolus needs a larger job base to boost the economy. That may help in the long run.
U Pitt in Bradford offers local Tiwn-Tier students in New York, PA resident tuition.
I would look into eliminating the school of journalism. It seems to be cranking out bias students that are hell-bent on spuing out information that just IS NOT true. ie CNN, MSLSD, ABC, FBI AND IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON.
Anytime I meet an SBU student or their parents I thank you for choosing St Bonaventure as the University of their choice.

Ohs graduated 112 seniors this spring .walsh is effectively gone…the area seems to be depopulating.bonas’ strongest recruiting strength might be parents’ perception that it is a safe Catholics enclave in a isolated rural area where guns and societal conflicts are relatively distant…don’t think its programs or courses are a major concern…bona bubble!

Interesting that you left off the FOX that settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion for $787.5M.

Eliminating the journalism program at Bonas is a terrible idea. Over the years the journalism program has produced many fine award winning journalists such as Mike Vaccaro, Woj and Dan Barry to mention a few. There are many others as well.
SBU now has graduate level journalism programs that attract many students to the university.
SoCal - just because you don’t like journalists there is no reason to drop the SBU journalism programs. Can you give us one example of a Bona journalism grad that lied? Thanks.

It seems to be cranking out bias students that are hell-bent on spuing spewing out information that just IS NOT true. Thank a former SBU Journalism major for fixing the spelling of "spewing"

Hopefully Bonas is not teaching advocacy journalism at the J school.............like is practiced in the communist/socialist, anti Catholic MSM like the NY Times and WPO.
