It’s been a long time, but they really looked quite good. Vastly improved over prior years. Agree that Petinelli was impressive. Very glad i watched!

A very entertaining game. This Bonnie team doesn’t walk it up the court. It was close to full throttle throughout the game. Big key in the game was Bonnies outscoring Binghamton 31 to 15 on points off turnovers. When a Binghamton turnover occurred, the Bonnies pushed the ball up court and was rewarded with open shots. This is going to be a better team. First of all they have their 2 stars (Dani and Isabellah) returning and their next 2 highest scorers (Nadechka and Payton). Then add 3 very impressive newcomers with freshmen guards (Mackenzie Pettinelli and Zoe Shaw) along with JUCO transfer, center (Gabby Robinson Forde). Unlike last year this team has solid players on the bench. Standout players for the Bonnies — Isabellah was the MVP of this game. Leading scorer with 19 points and 2nd in rebounds. She has such a high basketball IQ. Her great anticipations leads to many steals and rebounds. Isabellah takes only good shots. Most impressive thing about Isabellah, is watching her play it is difficult to realize she is only 5’9”. — Dani another double digit scoring game (12 points) on 50% shooting from the field. Dani didn’t dominate, but she didn’t have to as she had a lot of help. — Nadechka was her typical self. Blowing by defenders, but also playing a bit out of control. Last season she was the 3rd leading scorer at 9.4 ppg, but also had 20 more turnovers than anyone else on the team. Nadechka committed a team high 7 turnovers and she only played half the game (20 minutes). Nadechka is a talented offensive player, but she needs to cut down on the turnovers. — Payton scored 19 points in the exhibition game (2nd leading scorer). Had another good game with 8 points and 2nd on team with 5 assists. She plays under control. Also solid defensive player. — Mackenzie is a very impressive freshman. Easily could make an argument for her being the MVP of the game. Second in scoring with 14 points, led team in rebounds (6) and led team in assists (6) and with just 1 turnover. Shot an incredible 83.3% (5-6) from the field. She was 4-5 from 3s and the shot she missed was a forced shot with shot clock expiring. With her shot, MacKenzie probably should not be turning down open looks, which she did during the game. Mackenzie as a freshman led the team in minutes played with 35. — Is this a first? Two freshman started Bonnies 1st game with Zoe and Mackenzie. Zoe has a solid 3 point shot, making 3 of 4 from 3s. Third on the team in minutes played with 31. Looks like a sold freshmen class with Mackenzie and Zoe leading the way. Keep an eye on freshman Macy Smith, who displayed a solid shot. — Gabby a slender 6’2” JUCO transfer is the only Bonnie, who looked anything like a center. She only had 4 points 3-4 from the field, but her game is using her athleticism to create a presence in the paint. I enjoyed the game and highly recommend going to see them play. Looking forward to their next game. gobonnies.com/sports/womens-basketball/stats/2024-25/binghamton/boxscore/7101

Somebody else, might have already posted this, but I didn't see it so I thought I'd pass this along……
Find a women's basketball basketball played Canisius tonight up in Buffalo and we're down early by double digits and the Griffs just seemed like our more physical team with a couple of big bodies. With the l women stuck with it and whittle the lead down to one point after the third quarter, I want to say it was 4039 Griffs and the women continue to pack away the lead with Danny Haskell, putting on a show in the third and finish it off in the fourth scoring 31 points. It was back-and-forth over the final minutes, Canisius had a chance to tie with a three with about five seconds left, the iron with the woman cornered the rebound and time ran out. Really gutsy team effort, contributions by just about everybody. Haskell Commonwealth she's in a different zone. Hopefully this game is something that the women can build on. Congratulations on a hard victory. 66 to 63.

Last year I watched the ladies play and they were far from a Division 1 team - in truth, they were awful, last night they beat Canisius and I watched the game. Dani went for 29 and they came back from a 14 point deficit. Now, they are getting better, the freshmen looked pretty good and they need so much more but its a good start. Two wins so far may be as many as they had all last year. We need bigs down low and a few more people who can take better care of the ball. Also, speed would help.
