Chuck it is supposed to be hard for visitors to play at the RC. Once upon a time we were rated among the top most difficult places to play and it's something we are all proud of. To keep up with that, you don't cheer a guy who left your school a day after the season ended last year. if he graduated I would feel differently... but he didnt and should receive a jeers for the 2 hour return to the RC. We can root for him to succeed any other day Polite pregame applause for someone who played hard, represented the university well, "kept his nose clean socially" as Schmidt says, and has likely maintained relationships with many in the student body, shouldn't be a referendum on how intense the crowd is. The insinuation that Bonaventure isn't as difficult a place to play as it once was is contradicted by the facts: Dayton is the only A-10 team with a better home conference win percentage over the last decade than St. Bonaventure's .756 Oh okay. Maybe we can have one of those video tributes. Hang his number 0 from the rafters hahaha

Maybe start a stupid “you are ugly” chant. It’s gonna be a Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving break, man- I just hope they wake up in time.

Wish him well. Athletic, hard worker and could finish. Too bad he had no shot. 3.2 ppg, 10-34 TREYS 29% and 32% from the stripe.

He deserves respect. He left on his own most likely b/c SBU didn't guarantee him Playing time. Everyone wishes he stayed. He worked hard and improved. He probably wouldn't be getting that playing time at bona's this season. No reason to call him anything. NCAA has made transferring the norm.

Tareq Coburn returned to the RC as a member of Hofstra, aside from that, I don’t remember a former player ever coming back with an opponents jersey, and Coburn for sure never saw the volume that Evans did.
As for Barry himself, sometimes there is such a thing as a mutual parting of ways. Word is Barry wanted certain assurances that the staff wasn’t willing to give, and he decided to move on. Considering the situation, I can’t say I blame either side for their decision. I’d have loved for him to stay, but not at the expense of being able to recruit. Particularly in the current era, you often can’t have it all ways.
I hold nothing but best wishes for him. Both he and Luc left pretty much as soon as they were able to, which makes it clear they already knew their intentions long before the season ended. You’d never know it from the efforts that either of them put in when they did get on the floor, though. If anything, I respect them more for continuing to bring energy despite knowing their days were numbered in Brown and White. It’s more than you can say for several of their teammates last year.

Barry's game is what it was with us with the exception of his TREY shooting which has dramatically improved. He has already made as many TREYS in 5 games as he made all last season. And has made 47% compared to .318 last year.
Still struggles at the stripe 62% but improved from 35% last year when he rarely got to the line. He still gets to the line infrequently.
Barry takes great care of the ball as evidenced by his impressive 3.1 A/TO ratio comparable to his remarkable 4.0 as a Bonnie.
Hope he has a stellar season starting after today's game.

Barry played well in the first half (10 pts). After his "T" he slumped. He's a good kid who probably was embarrassed by his "T" and it affected his game. In the final 6 mins he had two opportunities to nail an open TREY to pull his team within 6 pts. Missed both critical shots after having gone 2-3 earlier in the game from deep. He never got to the stripe which is not a surprise.
Wish him the best!

I sat next to Barrys Mom and Dad during the game. I told both of them how much I appreciated Barry’s effort during his 2 seasons here. Very nice/good people. I wish Barry well in the NEC. He and his team can do some big things in that conference.

Barry would have been the 2nd coming of Dion Wright. Dion was a non-factor as a frosh, to a star, I miss those days where we got to see a player develop, like a LaDarian Griffen. Both LD and DW both grew and played professionally.
