Former interim president of St. Bonaventure University, Father Dominic Monti, OFM, was selected Provincial Vicar of Franciscan Holy Name Province for a six-year term during the triennial Provincial Chapters of Friars meeting on the campus of Siena College.
A native of Bradford, PA, Father Monti has served as professor of Church History in the Theology Dept. at St. Bonaventure since June 2002. He served as interim president of the university from March 2003 to May 2004. He will now live in New York City.
Holy Name Province, with 413 friars, is the largest group of Franciscan men in the United States.
