The two-time All-Greater Rochester basketball star from McQuaid Jesuit High School said that he will enroll at the University of Cincinnati next month and join the Bearcats' high-energy program.
He had whittled his choices to the University of Southern California and St. Bonaventure after transferring from Pennsylvania this past spring.
Pettinella must sit out the upcoming season because he is switching from one Division I school to another. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning with the 2006-07 season.
