UMASS picks up former SU signee Mayben

According the Syracuse boards... Syracuse released Mayben from his LOI and he is going to UMASS. SU wanted him to go to a prep school for a year, but Mayben refused. He's a top 50 talent, but supposedly he is a big time head case.

I had heard that Mayben was a "non-qualifier" and SU wanted him to go to prep-school to see if he could qualify for the following year. ??
