Rodney is a transferfrom Houston and has to sit out this season. I think he only has one year of eligibility left, but I haven't heard anything about him not coming.

Interesting read. Have to believe that the success of this team will depend on the development of Lee and whether the centers will be able to provide any sort of interior presence. The team will have more depth this next season for sure. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. Worry that we will see more of the quick substitution pattern that we saw last year. Only one player - Smith averaged more than 30 minutes a game last season. With more talent, will it mean a more stable lineup or will it mean that players will be in and out for even shorter stints? Will be nice to see improved point guard play. I am a big fan of Isiah Carson but I think he was thrown into a difficult situation last year. I was spoiled after having such outstanding point guards as Green, Winn and MacNeil running the the show the last 11 years. Hope this team can get off to a strong start. Can't wait for the season to start.

I wouldn't mind seeing his ship used on the recuiting class of 2006. We have 3-to give now and his would be a fourth....
especially since our prospect list is looking strong......any combination of 4 of these guys coming in as frosh would be another step in "Marching forward"!!

I hate to bring it up again...But it wont be fair to expect too much production from either one of our new centers.
Reading the prospectus on Fox, he did not even average playing half a game for Mercyhurst...
Lee on the other hand will be fun to watch

If we can at least get decent defense and rebounding from the center position, it will be an improvement from last year. I have a sneaking suspicion that we will see a lot of full court trapping defense this year!

Glad to see that they have finally come to the realization the the RC is not a 6000 seat arena and downsized its capacity to 5,570

I agree with hnk and Phantom about Michael Lee's development being critical to the success of this team. He showed exciting potential at the end of the season by leading the team in scoring for the last 2 games and averaging 17 points in his last 3 games. He finished the season with the 2nd highest field goal percentage, which I attribute to Michael moving his game closer to the basket. Phantom, I've been hearing encouraging reports about Paul Williams improved game. With Paul, Ivan and Michael the Bonnies have the biggest players in the post since Cas and PVP. This should help our interior defense, which was embarrassing against Bryant Dunston. IMHO the biggest key to this season is improving the defense, and more specifically the team's field goal percentage defense. Here is a stat for you: Bona's opponents as a team made 49 percent of their shots. To put it in perspective Brian Gibbs is the only Bonnie to shoot higher than 49% and the Bonnies as a team shot only 39%. In fact Fordham, who is ranked just ahead of the Bonnies at 43.8% is closer to the top rank team then they are to the Bonnies. You need to check the link below to realize how poor the Bonnies field goal percentage defense is when compared to rest of the Atlantic 10.
