At a luncheon at St. Bonaventure Clubhouse, OTH reporter George Nianiatus reported Jayson Gee as stating "it's conceivable the team could have 7 or 8 more wins this season." He cautioned "it has taken 4 years for some coaches to turn around programs that suffered scandals of lesser magnitude than St. Bonaventure's." Gee praised Ahmad and Relph by stating "this season fans will notice there will be more team leadership demonstrated by players Ahmad Smith and Tyler Relph. Both of these guards have matured and made strides in looking to be more team leaders for the other players."
