Al Maguire always said to build his team he always wanted to land 1 true quality 4 year player a year. Sol has begun that with 6'8 Mike Lee & 6'0 Tyler Relph (sophs) & 6'5 AJ Hawkins (frosh).
With this sprinkle of quality 4-year players and a few transfers Sol has us positioned well.
This may not be so obvious this year but will be next year when the quality young players add experience/bulk and a key player Center 6'8 235lb Rodney Hannah can play (he had 16 rebs against Louisville last year...he will suit up for us 2 years after that performance).

Even before we sign 3 players (some of who are visiting now) we will have our best combo of PF/C since Cyrus & PVP.
We will have 2 quality PG's (last year we had zero).
It will be a veteran team.

This is a team headed in the right direction - with the right fall signings added to this projected 2006 roster we could be very special next year with a bright 5-year horizon ahead.
Its a great picture to present to current 4-year recruits who's only concern will be that 5 year horizon of 2006-2010.

If you are refering to Corey Magee from Fairport, then I would ask the question of if you really truly believe he is a legit pickup for SBU. The size is already there for this team, and Magee is way too lanky for D-I basketball. I have not lived in the Rochester area for a year now, so maybe I am wrong and the kid has put some weight on, but from what I saw of him he is not the kind of kid that this team needs.
