Heard that Mr. Grap has temporarily abandoned the "fixer-upper" house he bought on N. 1st. St. in Olean, when he walked in one day and all the workers were sitting around playing cards instead of working.
So he bought a house on David Drive, North of Olean off the Hinsdale highway. For those unfamiliar with Olean, David Drive is an exclusive area, filled with homes in the $250,000 range and up ! (These same homes would be in the $1,000,000 range in an area like Westchester or Connecticut). Mostly doctors and lawyers and one ex-university president who shall remain unnamed.
Bought Dr. Morgan's (eye doctor) house, and players are living there now. And it is quite the party spot, not only for players, but for anyone that wants to attend.
Hell, it's only a 6 or 7 mile drive back to campus, down Rt. 16, then onto I-86 to the Bonaventure exit on the other side of Allegany, and back to campus past every bar in town. I'm sure nothing will ever happen because every car will have a DD behind the wheel, right ?
Aw, nothing to worry about, I hear they're all perfect gentlemen, and they're probably serving tea and crumpets at these "parties", and playing a few hands of canasta or bridge. Curfew is 7:30 - lights out at 8:00 !

Regarding the 2nd part of your post, dont get hurt on that slippery slope. Judging by what you just said there, there is little to no chance students are going to go that far for a party. In my 4 yrs at Bona, i never drove to a party nor would i have gone to one that far away. We stayed on campus or walked into town. With all of the things happening on campus and the bars to go, kids are not going to go all the way out there to party.
Also, i was friends with a few baseball players and the "parties" they had were usually smaller and invite only so its not like every freshmen on campus would go there anyway and given their intense schedule they dont have alot of time for parties.

I truly hope that is the case kcSBU03. The closer they stay to campus, the better. Still amazes me that when he was going to spend that much money, that Mr. Grap couldn't find a place somewhere nearer to Allegany and SBU.
He is a businessman though, and is no dummy. The house on David Drive will just appreciate in value and when he sells it in a couple of years (after his son graduates) he'll probably make a nice profit.

Actually, the house is on Godfrey Hollow, but you were close. Plus it is very secluded, so you'll hear no complains from the neighbors. Also, if he bought the land that surrounds it, which the Morgan's own, he would most likely subdivide it later.
Did anyone ever think that the reason they are not in Allegany is because they don't want to be near campus? Just a thought since it doesn't seems like they even looked in allegany.
oh and this is not fact, for all i know he is still working on the 1st St. property, i mean, he does own it now.

Godfrey Hollow is correct - thank you. It's just off David Drive, same exact vicinity. And you ain't kidding when you say "secluded" - tell the boys to watch out for stray slugs and bullets come deer season !
