With the addition of the new recruits, I'm optimistic about how this team will do this year especially in the non-conference slate. Not sure that the A-10 schedule benefits the Bonnies however. Have always looked opposing teams in 3 categories - 1.)those that are probable losses whether you play them at home or on the road, 2.) those that you would be underdogs on the road but that you would be favored to win at home and 3.) those that you should beat regardless of where you play. Considering where the Bonnies are now, I'm not sure that there are any A-10 teams that would fit in to the last category at this time. St. Louis, LaSalle, and possibly even St. Joe's and Dayton may fit into category 2. All these games will be on the road however. Temple, George Washington, Charlotte and UMass I would include in category 1. On the one hand fans get to see future NBA talent such as Mardy Collins of Temple, Rashaun Freeman of UMass, Curtis Withers of Charlotte, and Pops and Mike Hall of GWU play in Olean. On the other hand, it will be difficult to win any of these games. Really think our won-lost record would be better if our A-10 away games were at home and our home sked were played on the road. While I welcome St. Louis and Charlotte to the league, the unbalanced schedule makes for an inequity when comparing won-lost records.
