Jackson Makes His Decision

After checking out Auburn for an official visit this week, Gulf Coast Community College guard David Jackson has given a verbal commitment to Penn State. Down to the two schools after considering both West Virginia and St. Bonaventure, Jackson is going to be a Nittany Lion beginning next season.
A native of Maryland, where he played at Beltsville High before going to junior college in Florida, Jackson led an 18-10 Gulf Coast Community College team in scoring at 18.2 points per game. He also averaged 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals per contest.
The 6-2, 195-pound Jackson hit a very impressive 55.3 percent of his 94 three-point shots as a sophomore. Overall, he made 53.1 of his field goals and hit 82.8 percent of his foul shots.
