Castle Inn becoming a memory.....

These views are looking East - Castle Restaurant is in right center of picture - pile of rubble is the front building where you checked in and had the beautiful white columns at the entrance







These views are from across the street - the 3 windows framed in green & white are the bar inside the Castle Restaurant, which was always packed after a Bona home game by fans, reporters and visiting coaches staying at the Castle Inn. I'm told the bar was salvaged from this building, and is now installed on the Bona campus, possibly at the Friary or maybe in the Rathskellar. If that bar could talk, it could tell some amazing stories !

now here's a thought.... the compnay doing the demolition should have a huge keg party w/ the bona kids (espically the basketball team) on the Castle site... provide all the free beer the bona kids could drink.. then just sit back and wait for the destruction that would certainly happen after a few hours of keg stands.. imagine all the gas they would save from their wrecking machines...it's a win win situaiton!
