My message to the admin of that board:
Under the Class of 2005 JUCO commitments (http://eteamz.active.com/bigapplesports/index.cfm), you have 6'9" PF Lex James from San Francisco City (CA) listed as committed to St. Bonaventure and then listed as committed to Rhode Island. Could you clear up this posting please? We at St. Bonaventure want to know if he's going to be our guy to cheer for or cheer against.
His reply:
You got him - he originally verballed to Rhode Island in the fall, but changed his mind and is now headed to St. Bonaventure.
Thanks for the e-mail - I'll adjust it on the site shortly.
Looks like we've got a new athletic power forward heading our way! Hats off to the coaching staff for their recruiting work!

Welcome Lex to Bona! May you have a "Good Journey." Big Apple Sports has just made clear that Lex is a Bonnie & was previously a Ram. jh I'm sure likes the shot blocking capability. Post Game Comments: Coach Labagh's decision to start freshman Lex James was huge. James provided the spark the coach was looking for in the first half. After James scored the Rams first eight points of the second half, the rout was on. James led the Rams with 18 points on an array of thunderous dunks coming off the offensive glass.

TEXT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gabe DeArmond JucoJunction.com Staff
St. Bonaventure has once again dipped into the junior college ranks, receiving a commitment this time from City College of San Francisco post-man Lex James.
"He had given kind of a soft commitment, but he really firmed it up in the last couple of days," said CCSF assistant coach Troy Johnson. "He hasn't signed. He will some time before May 18th, but he has to go out and visit the place first."
South Florida, Rhode Island, Cincinnati, Washington State, Ohio State, Arizona State, St. John's and Charlotte had all been out to see the 6-foot-9 James.
"He is a high-wire, real long kid," Johnson said. "He plays above the rim and he's super athletic."
Johnson said James is pretty much a true power forward and will fill that spot for the Bonnies.
"He's got a nice left-handed or right-handed jump hook," Johnson said. "He's got a pretty decent turnaround that he's fallen in love with. Everything else, he's dunking it. If it comes off the rim, he's gonna punch it down."
Ivan Kovacevic and Terron Diggs have also committed to the Bonnies in the last few weeks.

Love those comments about power dunks. Would love to see some high low sets ala Van Passen to Cyrus. Ivan to Lex sounds good to me.

When was the last time we had a true PF/C combo? I think this is key to any teams success. Helps the gaurds get more open shots and helps the guards on defensive end.
