I think the stories are great, it is part of our history and should never be forgotten. I think that history can be very important in fund raising etc. with the over 40 set.
To think it is going to impress todays players is crazy. 1970 might as well be 1870 to them. Even our latest trip to the NCAA in 2000 happened a long time ago to current high school students.
While we can't forget where we came from let's not overstate it in importance to current players. What we have to sell is Solomon,the A-10 and a good education. This coaching staff is doing a good job of rebuilding, we need some wins this year, but he is definitely headed in the right direction. He deserves the benefit of the doubt for now. We were on rock bottom.
The inference that Ladderman makes below about O'Brien is the same old junk that people have been spewing forever. The college b-ball landscape was changing and things were going to change no matter who was coaching. O'Brien was a good coach. He did a good job at Bonas. He is one of two coaches that coached at Bonas and went to the final four.
