(It was a bad year for fires)
October 22, 1930
Fire destroyed the barn and silos at St. Bonaventure College. More than 22 tons of hay and a freight car loaded with food was consumed. Students rescued 63 head of cattle from the barn.
October 23, 1930
St. Bonaventure College lays the cornerstone for the Alexander Hickey Memorial Building. The building replaces the campus' former refectory** which was destroyed in a May 5 fire.
