As a new poster and diehard Bonas fan, i'm glad we are making progress but a few observations from watching and playing too much basketball. This is the worst passing team I've ever seen. No one moves and the passes are sloppy. Going to have to improve in A!10, as is finishing shots at the basket. Blackburn is totally out of control, Matthews can't shoot with pressure. Must be a good "horse" player. It's not worth much but my staring lineup would be: Nicholson-future pro Eleby- just play under control Hall- same as Eleby Davenport- best athelete on the team- needs more playing time-develop him this year for next 3 Cook- where's he been-use him coach Starters should play at least 1st 10-12 minutes straight in order to get a flow going.
Thomas should be first off the bench with matthews

I can't disagree with anything you are saying. We are offensively challenged. No one is a good outside shooter and for the most part we seem to force everything because of that. This is a work in progress. Disappointed but still expect 5 more wins this season. St. Joes is better than their record and when we play some of the other middle of the pack teams we will win our share. Next year will show some major improvement. Better guard play will come with additional players. Eleby and Blacburn will improve and I have been told that we have a Spencer Haywood type forward who is coming next year. Nicholson will be the key and his future is bright.

Spencer Haywood was such a devastating force in his prime that no opponent could defend him or keep him off the boards. At his best Haywood was as dominating as they come. As a 20-year-old rookie in 1969-70 he led the American Basketball Association in both scoring and rebounding and was named the ABA's Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year. After moving to the NBA he averaged better than 20 points for five consecutive seasons, including 29.2 ppg in 1972-73, and he was twice selected to the All-NBA First Team.

In that case I think we should get two Spencer Haywood types!
