After the opening day scramble today, I drove down to URI to check out the game. My timing was not good. Moments after I got there, the Rams hit back-to-back-to-back HRs to increase their lead from 9-4 to 14-4 in the bottom of the sixth. SBU went down 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh. The scheduled second game of the doubleheader was postponed due to rain. The teams will attempt to get two on tomorrow starting at 10 AM. The prospects for that are not good, again due to predicted rain. It was cold and rainy with about a 20 to 30 mile per hour wind. I met a couple of traveling parents of players while there. Hearty souls. Depending on weather, I may drive down to the campus and check it out again tomorrow.
