Chuck - I meant the "Hall was Hall" comment mean that he had his typical game. Scored, rebounded, moved the ball, played D on the good side, and then had a few out of control turnovers, a technical foul and a few missed free throws on the bad side. The good definitely outweighs the bad, and he doesn't get down on himself or tentative after he makes mistakes.
With respect to Eleby, I think most fans underestimate the value of a point guard that can get the ball over half court and get his team into a half court set. That is what Eleby did last night. He knows (unlike Ray sometimes) that he is not the focal point of the offense. Eleby's jumper was a bad decision (but I believe Thomas got the rebound and missed the follow up, so it did not hurt us), but so was the decision by Matthews to give up his 3 at the end of the first half in favor of a Delancy Carter attempted 3. I don't think Eleby gets enough credit for playing his role on the team (most of the time).

Hall has been clutch at the end of games. He is what Schmidt calls Glue. We finally have someone willing to take the key shot at the end of the game.
I think Eleby is an adeqaute point guard. He will never be a star but has learned( unlike Blackburn) not to make mistakes that lead to easy transition baskets. In Ray's defense, he is really a two trying to play the one!
