There have been reports that Simmons has a nice outside stroke to go with that size so putting him in with 2 of the following would be deadly: Nicholson, Cook, Thomas. This would create matchup problems for most teams that we would face. You'll see a lot of Marquise playing the 3 and 4, but don't be stunned if he plays some 2, too. If you'll notice, he's listed as a Guard/Forward on the Bonnies' website. His 6'8" frame is very long and he's supposedly extremely athletic. Also, he played all five positions in high school, often times serving as Central High's point guard. Now, he certainly won't play the point at SBU, but Simmons has quite a bit of experience playing on the perimeter as well as the trenches. His 3-point shootout title at the Jordan Capital Classic is no small accomplishment, by the way.
