Mike Francessa is interviewing Siena's head coach on WFAN right now. Not only is it a great interview, but what press CBS, and WFAN have given Siena over the last couple days great.
The piece on their guard Kenny and his family situation (father with MS) on CBS was amazing yesterday. A true class act of a kid and a great interview by their coach right now on WFAN.
I was pulling for Siena yesterday as they are our sister school and they really have the ability to move up to the next level.

I listened to the ending part of the interview. Really great press for Siena, and McCafferey came across very well. Francesca told him to listen for all the calls.....obviously he will be in demand for any school lookng for a new coach.
Also discussed was the difficulties in scheduling for a "mid-major" (I hate that term). Francesca talked about 2 for 1's. (Of course the Knickerbocker arena in Albany holds around 10K, and now with all the press about Siena, they probably could get BCS schools to come up there).
Butler, George Mason & Siena were discussed as being respected by the NCAA Committee.....and following the Gonzaga model.

Their arena can actually hold up to 17,500. They probably use curtains to block off the upper decks but it does hold more than the 10,000.

No way the Times Union Center holds 17,500. Around 10K, maybe up to around 12K max.

Not for the hoops configuration. Maybe for a concert with seating on the floor.

Not that I care about Siena bball or the Times Union Center but it can seat 17500 for bball. They just curtain off certain areas.

From Sienasaints.com: In November of 2004 a sold-out crowd of 14,743 turned out for Siena's game against #4/5 Syracuse at Times Union Center. However, on 3/22/94, a record crowd of 15,727 were in attendance for an NIT game against Tulsa. C'mon OSB, do your homework!
