Ex Bonnie Jeff Foote led Cornell over St. John's tonight with 19 points and 9 rebounds in the Garden and was named MVP of the Holiday Tourney

Throw in 4 blocks and 80% from the floor. He made some very tough shots Foote is a damn good player. He has really filled out. NBA center body and great hands. As my friend that player and college said, you can't teach 7'1". I would not be surprised to see him get drafted in the late second round. There just not that many seven footers with skills in the college game.

I should have added that Jeff Foote is the best recruit that was brought in under Solomon. The kid that went to Oklahoma State would be a close second. Too bad we let him get away.

Mario Boggan and Jeff Foote should never be mentioned in the same paragraph. Sure, Boggan had his troubles, but the kid signed with an SEC team, then an A-10 team and ended up putting up big numbers in the Big 12. Was Foote even recruited by us? Wasn't he pretty much picked up from the intramural courts and given a red-shirt/walk on status?

Jeff Foote was on my intramural team my junior year. Needless to say, we were undefeated with him on there. He was not recruited by anybody, and was a late bloomer. He was a redshirt walkon at Bonas before he wanted to leave. I remember in practice however he used to consistently dominate dave fox and ivan kovacevic. Not the toughest competition, but still scholarship players. Amazing to see how he has progressed since his days at Bonas. The Cornell coaching staff deserves quite a bit of credit. We need to get Andrew on the program they used to get Foote to bulk up.
