i think that the fans need to start coming out ans supporting this team. The RC was avergaing more fans last years with a worst team and worst record then what they are this year with a better team and better record. With the team playing good at home we should fill the RC and make it the place that it once was. One of the toughest places to play at in the country.

Season ticket prices go up every year
Many older fans (couples) don't go out on cold winter nights anymore
Many fans dropped their tickets because of the mandatory BAF donation
Product on the floor sucks
No confidence in the coach

RipReilly, the question was, "Why is the RC lacking fans?" One of your thoughtful responses was "The product on the floor sucks."
The product on the floor of the R.C. (The St. Bonaventure Men's Basketball team) has not lost a game at the Reilly Center in the 2005-2006 season.
Explain to me how the product on the floor at the Reilly Center sucks when they have won all of the games played there?
It is obvious that SBU is not a strong road team, but this is irrelevent to the level of talent on the floor at the RC.
Let me further emphasize the tongue-in-cheek of this post by adding another reason why people should go to the home basketball games : $1.00 hotdogs and popcorn, a steal compared to food at most sporting events...

Rip, the per game price for tickets hasn't gone up in a few years. The total season ticket price is based on the number of games.
I suppose the season ticket price subsidizes the freebies that are given out to disgruntled employees such as you.

The ticket prices for Bonas games raen't that bad. I live in Erie..by no means a thriving and progressive city and Bona tickets are affordable. The team/chool needs support by the "true" Bona supporters now not when they are going to NIT/NCAA Tourny. We need recruits and the home court environment is just one additional thing that could swing a kid our way. Also, the bashing of everyone from the coaches to the players is NOT going to help either. I'm not saying any player and/or coach should get a free pass but jeeze just a couple years ago we were the laughing stock of college hoops. Finally, while I don't know how many people go to games for hot dogs and/or pop if you dumbasses went to SBU based solely on men's hoops and paid $20,000 a year your opinion is mute. GO BONAS!
