I can't understand the need to evaluate Coach Solomon after every game. It has become clear that this team is going to be a very inconsistent squad and it is going to be a loooong year if we re-evaluate Sol after each contest. I love to analyze Bona hoops as much as anyone, but I think that Coach deserves to learn/grow without the daily critiques. He appears to have the people skills and recruting ability to be a strong coach. Only time will tell if he can improve his sub patterns and in-game decision making. I was really hoping for a 7-4 record entering A-10 play, but I can't be too disapointed when we've tripled our win total from last year and we still have at least 16 games to play. GO BONNIES!

He has proven to have the people skills and recruiting to be a fine people person and great recruiter.
Everyone wants to say the record doesnt matter. Well, I agree! I look at the play, and the play is abysmal.
You cant say "what an improvement, we're 6-5" and then say "its ok that we're 8-20" record doesnt matter.

ORANGEHATER- I DON'T THINK I WOULD CHARECTORIZE THE PLAY AS ABYSMAL. I'LL GIVE YOU INCONSISTENT. GETTING A CONSISTENT EFFORT IS ONE ARE WHERE YOU CAN CERTAINLY JUDGE A COACH. I'M LOOKING FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THAT AREA. I WAS SIMPLY SAYING THAT I DON'T THINK IT DOES ANYONE ANY GOOD TO MAKE SWEEPING JUDGEMENTS AFTER EACH GAME.

You cant say "what an improvement, we're 6-5" and then say "its ok that we're 8-20" record doesnt matter. In my opinion it would be OK to end 8-20 this year. That would show steady improvement. When he is having to rebuild this program from the ground up, results won't come overnight. Just think if every year we increased our win total by 6, we would be 14-14 next year and 20-8 the next. I think that anyone who was saying NIT this year needs to come down from the clouds and look where we've been and what we've got on this roster but I also think that the Sol doubters need to give him two more years. If the team stops improving at that point, then it will be time to look elsewhere.

Everyone wants to say the record doesnt matter. Well, I agree! I look at the play, and the play is abysmal. The team has shown stretches of quality basketball. To call it abysmal is a bit far. When I think back to the WV game and the amazing run they went on, I know that they have the potential to play a great stretch of basketball but for some reason they can lay an egg against bad opponents. Why? Who knows. It could be coaching, it could be the players. With all of that said, I'm interested to see how the Bonnies do in A10 play this year.
