I'm assuming Vinny is allluding to this with his comment in todays OTH "letting off some steam and hoping everything gets straightened out down at One Bonnies Drive." I guess we will learn more tomorrow.

According to the Buffalo News, Head Coach Jim Crowley & Assistant Scott Young have allegations made against them by a Bona female employee. Sister Carney has indicated that the review of these allegations is routine & does not imply guilt. Sister Margaret said: "I am committed to a safe, healthy and professionally rewarding environment for all individuals," said Carney, "just as I am committed to a fair and just review of these allegations. We will act carefully and decisively in addressing this matter." The name of the Bona female employee was not provided in the article. I have no idea who made the allegation. Crowley & Young do have two female assistant coaches Marti Whitmore (with Bona over 13 years & an 85 grad was MVP her senior year) & Beth Huston (joined Bona in July 04 – not a Bona grad). I have no doubt that Bona will review these allegations very carefully. I hope for a fair & just finding.

Didn't spot it in the online version -- can you give a brief synopsis of the article or maybe provide a link -- thanks.

Sports Illustrated also picked it up. Nothing new, just a re-hash of the AP release. Sunday's Times Herald added that Crowley and Young are banned from campus during the investigation, and that a reporter's calls to all involved were unanswered and/or not returned.
Maybe something new will appear in today's edition, but we do not need another 'black eye' after all that has happened in the past couple of years.
This one does not sound good.

St. Bonaventure puts two coaches on leave From staff and wire reports St. Bonaventure women's basketball coach Jim Crowley and assistant Scott Young are on administrative leave after a complaint by a female school employee. The school would not provide details of the complaint, only to say the coaches will be on leave until an investigation is completed.
"An employee of the university has indicated that her work environment is not a comfortable one for her," school President Sister Margaret Carney said in a news release Saturday. "We have a responsibility to take her claims seriously — and we do."
In five years, Crowley is 44-96. Young is a five-year assistant.

OLEAN, N.Y. -- St. Bonaventure women's basketball coach Jim Crowley and assistant Scott Young were placed on administrative leave following a complaint by a university employee.
The school would not elaborate on the complaint, but said the coaches will be on leave until an investigation is completed. School officials met with the team to explain the situation.
In five years as coach, Crowley has a 44-96 record, including 9-19 last season. Young is a five-year assistant.
The Bonnies' athletic department has been hit with problems the past two years. In February 2004, the NCAA punished the men's basketball program a year after the team violated junior college transfer rules. Last month, the men's team suspended top recruit Tyler Relph after he was charged with drunken driving. He pleaded not guilty last week.

All of these recent incidents individually are not that serious but I am tired of reading about Bona in this way. DWI, plagirism, GEDs, coaches being suspended, have I left anything out. What is going on here? We are starting to look pretty silly. Yes, we had VBK but I cannot remember when we had so many things happen and make the papers over such a short period of time. I will be glad when school is out.

I realize this is just an allegation but is the latest "Tradition" at SBU getting into trouble?
What ever happened to the "good journey" some people always talk about???
Don't cut your nose to spite your face. As I said all along, JVBK was the scapegoat. However, now it's starting to show the problems run much deeper within the university.
Is the Secret Society behind this any way?
