I am quite sure his "Good Journey" continues at an infinitely higher level.

His last post on the board was 6/15/11.....read his message....
Summer « Thread Started on 6/15/11 at 16:40 »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the official start of summer about a week away, I wanted to wish all the good people of the Bandwagon a happy summer! Please be safe in whatever you do and remember to use caution when having a few ice-cold beers or other intoxicating beverages. I probably will not be posting on the board until the Autumn of the year. I figure it's a time for rest and summer fun and not as much computer time. I am extremely thankful I never became enthralled with video games. I know many adults who play video games for hours upon hours. I look forward to a few road trips and, as always, the St. John's Festa Italiana in North Olean. This is always the best outdoor party of the summer. The food served along with the many deserts is incomparable! May God Bless you all and have a wonderful Summer! See you near the Labatt Blue tent at St. John's!!!

I was lucky enough to be on his distribution list.....this was the last email I received from him......
This is wonderful…and the thought at the end is so true! Never look down on anybody, unless you're helping them up. Please read the following quietly then send it back on its journey To realize the value of a sister/brother ask someone who doesn't have one. To realize the value of ten years: ask a newly divorced couple. To realize the value of four years: ask a graduate. To realize the value of one year: ask a student who has failed a final exam. To realize the value of nine months: ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn. To realize the value of one month: ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.. To realize the value of one minute: ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane. To realize the value of one-second: ask a person who has survived an accident. Time waits for no one. treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special. To realize the value of a friend or family member: LOSE ONE. The origin of this letter is unknown, but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on. Remember.... Hold on tight to the ones you love!
Send it to friends & family to whom you wish a good, long, happy, life
Brother Bobby

I heard Nordender passed away late Sunday morning. He had been home with his mom and dad, surrounded by the ones he loved the most. To say the least, my thoughts and prayers are with Nordender, his parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bonaventure, or Good Journey, my friend.
Over the summer I had an opportunity to meet Bobby's son. What a nice young man! You tell that Bobby had quite a positive influence on him. Good head on his shoulders, motivated, thoughtful and followed the good teachings of the Catholic faith.
Besides Bobbby's love of family and friends he loved Olean, Bona basketball, his Catholic faith, all things Polish and a good wager now and then. He had his life in order.
To read the comments posted so far should make us all pause to wonder about how short our lives really are and those things we should take for granted. To read the distribution that was mentioned earlier is a good Francisican motto we should all consider. I love they way it begins - "Never look down on anybody, unless you're helping them up."
Earlier this Bobby lost a good friend - Kook Padlo. Kook was almost 100 years old before he died. Bobby and Kook maintained a close relationship over the years, no doubt based a friendly wager or two. They would meet at the Festa Italiana and talk, drink and eat for hours. Sadly, they weren't there is summer. Nordender - Kook is in Heaven opening up the gates for you.
Nordender, you died way to soon. Please now that as your spirit enters Heaven the good people from North Olean and Transfiguration Church (who have already entered the place where we all want to go) will welcome you with open arms ready to greet and party with you. No longer the pain just pure joy and happiness.
I will always remember you and never forget you. I love you man!!

Bobby's son Greg (pictured with his dad) graduated from Niagara this year with a degree in Criminal Justice. Glad that Bobby was with us long enough to see his son graduate.
Viewing will be Tuesday 10/11 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 E State Street Olean, NY 14760. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday 10/12 at Transfiguration Parrish 1102 Walnut St Olean, NY 14760. The mass time will most likely be at 10 am.
