I heard somebody named Omtay Evelbay (he's European) once went to Milwaukee. He searched high and low for his soul mate. Poor Mr. Evelbay searched in vain, however. He even stepped it up and searched on www.meet-an-inmate.com. There was no happy ending however. There aren't even turtles in Wisconsin.

Here's an interesting thought. It seemed to be that people in the class of 2005 had a nickname for everyone, regardless of whether or not that person actually knew about their nickname. Nicknames were clic-specific too; different groups of people had different names for different people. Has that always been something we've done here at Bonas? For example, recent or current bonas students might recognize Cougar, the Seven Footer, the Beast, Weiner, Chunk, Two-Face, Andrea the Giant, DT, the Meister, Sloth, Gonzo, the White Head, the Side Kick, Glitter, Stachley, the Sleeve Monster, Agent Orange, etc. Is this a trend that has gone on for a while or are recent students so apathetic towards people's actual names that they just make names for that person?

There have always been nicknames at Bonaventure. We had a list that long just in our circle of friends. Nicknames are just more fun. The only rule is you can't give yourself a nickname. If you try, you will get ripped on. Like I remember a certain someone stating, "I want you guys to start calling me Tweeder the Beer Drinking Cowboy" after watching Varsity Blues. It didn't work out quite how he planned. There are also the nicknames that people never knew they had. Some of my favorites were ManFace, ManBrow, Fat Kid, D!ck Breath, King Kong Margie, CaveManBrow, and Assneck, just to name a few. I could go on and on but to make a long story short nicknames are a long running tradition at St. Bonaventure and colleges everywhere. Does anyone else have any nicknames they want to share?

And let's not forget the master nickname creator: Timmy-O (also a nickname)
