Nicknames are timeless.
A few of my personal favorites include BitterBeerface, Tightass, HJFH, Hell, D ickmunch, Face, HotDogDownaHallway. The list could go on and on. There are so many I have forgotten, I would love to turn back the clock for a weekend to junior or senior year just to remember some people's nicknames and corresponding faces.

One of my favorites was when Sauce hooked up with D.ickmunch.
I also remember the Chinese Cheerleader, Fudge, Wu Tang, Wild Bill, MERT, Hair, The Hippie, Hairy Poo, and my favorite... Beep-ba-Beep. He was called Beep-ba-Beep because he always scurried around everywhere with his arms swinging in front. It looked like he should be sayinf, "BEEP! BEEP! OUTTA MY WAY! BEEP BEEP BEEP!"

No one wanted that nickname. I believe the Munster earned it a couple times but it never really stuck. I remember Bry-Guy won it once as well. And maybe even Mr. Wellagain? I don't remember. A hilarious nickname. Makes me laugh every time I hear it. I wonder what kind of nicknames some of the older alumni experienced. I wish they would share. But they might be staying out of this thread as it is not basketball enough related.

Wasn't there somebody who was Soft In The O?
Whatever could that mean, if you don't mind me asking?

That was actually my friend Richard. I tell you....you think doing an Olean pub crawl would make one hard....but the truth is it makes you an old softy. Cheers to Applebee's for their racetrack around the bar and that one manager that made us leave. Here's a little secret I've never admitted. He was right, we were inebriated.

Another couple of good nicknames, most of which were developed by a super creative guy named Ian C.
NPA- an Egyptian kid our freshman year. It means 'Not Particularly Attractive'
D1ck Munch 1 and 2- two girls our sophomore year who were complete wh0res
$h!tface- our friend Bill who had a beard. He hated that name, which made us love it more.
QuickShot- to a kid across the hall from me frosh year who....you get the point
Actually, funny story just crossed my mind. As a freshman, there was a really tall kid a couple doors down who had one of those dry-erase boards on his door. I didn't know his name or really anything about him, but for some reason one day I wrote 'Big guy is a f.a.g' on his door. Later it was hastily erased so I wrote it again, "Big guy is a f.a.g." This went on for about a week until finally one day the board read, "I'm not a f.a.g and my name is Joe'. So needless to say, I erased it and wrote "Joe is a f.a.g.''.
He moved to Shay like 3 days later. I always felt a little bit bad about that and Joe, if you're out there, I'm sorry. It was nothing personal.

Someone came up with "Lip-smile" for the kid who always wore weird hats to Hickey and dressed up in strange costumes. He always had a big grin on his face too. He never said much, so no one bugged him, but he was a bit scary sometimes like he was thinking of ways to burn down Fal.....wait maybe he's reading this and I should stop.

What about, "The kid who's everywhere". The person who created this nickname knows who he is. It refers to a kid that seemed to be in every class, and anytime you went out into town he was at every establishment you would go to. He also would find a way to work his Wallmart work experience into every classroom discussion. He was a character.

My favorite in recent years is the nickname of a buddy of mine who we felt talked and acted like a caveman. Another buddy of mine who also happens to be named Ian C., though I'm not sure if it's the same one as above, came up with his nickname. Since his name is Paul and he's a caveman, the nickname NeanderPaul was perfect. NeanderPaul is still a regular vistor to campus and if you keep an eye out on a Saturday night, you just may see him attempting to catch a wooly mammoth and bring it back to his cave. And by wooly mammoth, i mean fat chick.

"The People Verses" is without a doubt the best nickname to come out of SBU while I was there. Other good ones, the OP (the Olean Prostitute), **** with the Jaw....the list goes on and on.

I forgot about Spare Tire. There were a few girls who could have sported that nickname in my brief time at Bonnies. If this Spare Tire is the same one I'm thinking about, she was the one time captain of the cheerleading squad. Ugh.
Ian C was once interviewed by the BonaVenture after winning a ping pong tournament. He credited his lucky Australian Beltbuckle.
