Definitely a bad situation. Since he has not seen any minutes they can't hang the losses on #44.

Too bad ANDREW could not have bolted Orlando and ended up with Knicks like KYLE O'QUINN did.

FromTwitter....@daldridgetnt: Also hearing ORL not likely to extend F Andrew Nicholson (19th pick in ’12). @spearsnbayahoo reported no extension for Evan Fournier (20th).

So what would Andrew's best options be if this happens?

So what would Andrew's best options be if this happens? He wont be going anywhere until after the season, unless someone trades for him. Best scenario is a team out there recognizes his abilities and signs him with the intent to play him. He could still play in Orlando this year, its still early in the season. I could see Toronto signing him just for the local talent and he might fit what they do there.

I've mentioned before on this thread, on how i would like my Sixers, to step up a make an offer for Nicholson. They have the resources (draft picks, mainly 2nd rounders) and without question, the minutes and roster space for him to develop here! Plus the Sixers and Orlando have the trade history, and the Sixers have Staukas, a teammate of Andrews on team Canada.. If he was going to go anywhere, Philly might be his best option

Sixers already have 2 young bigs in Okafor and Noel, not to mention Embiid if he ever gets healthy. Id hate to see him go from one dumpster fire to another.

Embiids atleast a yr away, and maybe it's just me, but I didn't know Nicholson ranked up there with Okafor and Noel. I thought going to any team that gave him minutes, and let him play would be an improvement from his current situation, guess I was wrong (atleast in your eyes).

Its not exactly fair to blame the team or the system on his lack of success. He must not be showing them enough during their practices. He has proven to be a liability when on defense....
Maybe another city will help, but his days might be numbered in the nba....
Hopefully I am wrong, but it doesn't look good.

Nicholson is a PF though and the Sixers seem to be set with bigs, which is the point I was trying to make. Plus they will play the guys they draft over someone else. I think Nicholson has a role inthe NBA, he needs a team that can use him and like you said, get him minutes. He can hit some shots and can be utilized in the right system.

Alright, then my bad, i apologize. When i read "dumpster fire" i thought you were talking about the Sixers organization, and trust me, its brutal defending your team when every outlet has been bashing them for yrs.. And regarding our bigs, its true we have a couple, plus Holmes, but thats it, and Noel has been sitting games out lately, and Brown loves to rotate guys. My thinking was in a larger scale, larger trade (which maybe i should have said before) but the Magic are trying to dump a player or two to us, and if we could snag Nicholson, I could def see him averaging 15-20 minutes (as it stands right now) right off the bat.. Noel isn't going draw defenders out, at power forward, but Nicholson can, and he can get open shots to our shooters too (if he doesn't knock them down himself).. Mostly i was thinking, besides for the Sixers, the Lakers are the only other team that might need another big that could add instant offense, and "not" contribute right away on defense.. (and side note, I'm not a fan of rebuilding behind Embiid anymore, I'm in the camp of whatever he does eventually bring, if its anything, is a bonus! Plus, say he comes back in year and a half, and we have Saric and theres an odd man out, Embiids the one looking for a new home)
