I heard that Andrew is scheduled to be the Honorary Captain at Wednesday's game vs. GW. He's available because the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) has suspended their season indefinitely as of 2/1/2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Great to see Drew back in the RC. I’m sure he showed Shoon some of his tricks in the paint. It would be awesome to see Drew suit up for Bonnies TBT team this summer.

Dr. G pointed out that he used video of Drew's footwork in training his bigs. Wonder if Coach Schmidt uses it? Would be fantastic if he played on the Bonnies TBT team!
Last night I think I heard Gary Nease say that he was visiting with his parents and family (brother Gary) in Toronto while home from China.
As you may know, sadly his dad Fabian passed away unexpectedly last March in Jamaica where he would spend his winter months (Ocho Rios, home town). I enjoyed speaking with him every few months about Drew's career. A wonderfully kind man who knew little about basketball but watched every game he could & was so proud of Drew. God Rest His Soul!

From the article - Andrew is averaging 26 & 10 in China, 42.7% from 3. China is regarded as the 2nd best league in the world and he's dominating that league, those are dominant numbers. I'm sorry, I watch a lot of NBA. There are some trash teams, especially the NY Knicks, my favorite team that I can barely stomach. It is hard for me to believe they don't have a need for that kind of talent. When his contract in China is done he should try again at the league. he had 1 poor half season and the NBA therefore misses out on his talents. What a shame

It isn't the contract in China that is the worry. He is still being paid by Portland. They traded for Andrew to get rid of someone else's contract (I forgot who) and then waived Andrew. In the process they stretch out his contract to 7 years and pay what was owed over that time frame. Until that is over or in its final stages, Andrew is too expensive for an NBA team to give him another chance

Portland has a cap hit over 7 years.
