Sipo…..Numerous sites all report Bona's offer to John Cody 6’3” at Wasatch Acad,UT. That power house team is loaded with Toronto area players. In 26 games he is 19.1 ppg, 54% FGs, 39% TREYS, 81% FTs, 3.6 apg, 1.77 A/TO ratio , 3.9 rebs. Recently named the POG against St Benedicts with 36 points AND 10 ASSISTS. John has started at Wasatch 4 years along with Canadian players. Utah is a long way to go to play at a high level. Cody is a sharp shooting scoring guard with hops and good D. His 39% TREYS are often from well behind the arc. He has offers from Bona & Niagara. I expect that # to rise. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqrVHKJCjAA Junior year game, Jan 2014. #5 in red

WGT, in researching CODY JOHN info, I came across a published rival coach's assessment of CODY from 2 years ago, and this coach said CODY was D1 ready as a sophomore.

CODY JOHN plays alongside Koby McEwen a 2016, 6'3" PG who plays with CIA Bounce. Coby stayed in Utah last summer to play club ball. McEwen has offers from Baylor & Ole Miss but many more pursuing him. Koby also at Wasatch since his Frosh year. They are a potent backcourt. hoopshype.ca/wasatch/

There is a reference by a columnist in todays PPG that Pitt is a finalist for a 6' 10" highly regarded recruit and that they already have a 7' Juco signed. Neither' s initials are KA. I presume/hope this has been pointed out to Kyle already.

Kyle Alexander's dad Joe, who played at Niagara, is well aware of all factors that will determine where Kyle plays. I have no doubt that a decision will be made that ensures a perfect match for Kyle. When all is said & done Kyle wearing the Brown & White will be a perfect fit.

Cody discusses teams that are in his market and reveals a "Big 3" on his mind right now. Colorado, Weber St. and TCU amongst others. www.canadianballers.com/news_article/show/486441?referrer_id=1554873Listening to the interview, it doesn't seem we are on his radar at the present time. Sounds like he's waiting for Colorado to offer him and he'll jump right on it. What I found more interesting is that the kid played two games that day and the second game against St Benedicts he scored 36 points. Let's put that in perspective the next time someone says Marcus Posely looks tired and exhausted after playing 38 minutes off 4 days. These well conditioned young kids can play all day and night. Tired should never be an excuse in my opinion.

I would say playing a D1 or an A10 game would drain your body(mentally and physically) a lot more than a High School or AAU game.

I would agree with that, except for the part about coming out of the gate 0-7, when presumably he shouldn't be too tired from shootaround

I know this thread is talking about recruiting for our basketball team but I gotta ask: how did things go in tarrytown last night, wgt...did you successfully recruit a whole bunch of future bonnies?...and thanks for taking the time to provide an essential service for our alma mater...if the numbers don't start improving re enrollment in the near future, i worry the day could come when we could be joining sweet briar on the sidelines...

thesenator....There were 10 students with their families attending. The Admissions team provided a great presentation which included 2 current students, a recent grad, 3 alumni and 3 parents of Bona grads. Their financial packeges were mailed to them yesterday and all hope for good results. Thanks for asking. Hoping we get more joining the SHARE program to increase enrollment. SHAKIR BROWN had a quiet game today due to foul trouble. He had 17 pts & 11 Boards (8-8 FTs). Angelina won 80-74 & head to the Semi Final tomorrow. Game will be vdeo streamed at www.psnsports.com/
