Kaputo would have to reclass to 2015. I have a good feeling about Alexander. Seems like we were on him early and from all reports he enjoyed his visit.

We know that Kyle Alexander has been offered by Rice and Western Kentucky and his dad reported that his visit to Bona went very well. His planned visit to Pitt was canceled & reports indicated they had gone their separate ways.
Rice has need for rebounding & Western Kentucky not so much. Both play in Conference USA which is a middle of the pack conference compared to A10 which is ranked around #8. Rice went 12-20 this season & has lots of missing parts besides rebounding.
Travel to Rice from Toronto is a full day and then some (minimum 8-10 hrs door to door) with connecting flights required via Dallas at $750 a pop. Kyle Alexander’s dad Joe had expressed the desire to see their son play. Obviously Bona fits that need perfectly. That and the fact that Coach Schmidt developed an inexperienced HS player Drew Nicholson further makes Bona a very good match for Kyle with raw talent & blessed with physical attributes for the game.
Lots enter into the decision to select a school for student Athletes. Clearly the Alexander’s are weighing all options carefully as well they should. With the high rate of transfers, for many reasons, you want to get it right the first time for your son.
I wish Kyle all the best in his decision and admire his diligence in his selection process. I also wish he decides on the “Good Journey” which is such a unique college experience with opportunities to star on the Bob Lanier Court in front of the rabid Bona Nation who travel well as was recently demonstrated at the Barclays against St Joes & Dayton. Also looking forward to FLAG MAN hoisting the Canadian Maple Leaf flag MANY times over the next four years and the singing of the Canadian National Anthem as they did for Drew's final game on Bob Lanier Court.

Woods 6'8 Griffin 6'7 Alexander 6'10 (keep your fingers crossed) Tyson 6'11
That's some size for Mark and the staff to develop over the next 4 years. Adams at PG for 3 more years. Idris looks like he can be a player. Things are looking up.

7' Andrew Zelis was to visit AZ State yesterday but canceled. Coach firing no doubt the reason. AZ State beat rival AZ when they were ranked #5 this year.

In case you missed what Larry Blunt (Kyle Alexander's coach) said about him 6 weeks ago.
"He’s 6-[foot]-10 with a 7-[foot]-4 wingspan. He runs faster than our guards and has a knack for blocking shots. His dad was a Division I 1,000-point scorer and his sister was an All-American at Syracuse and a first-round draft pick in the WNBA. The kid has been playing basketball for three years and his potential is scary."
Remember his dad Joe played at Niagara.

Auburn and Arkansas both have offered KYLE ALEXANDER. Not good. Bonnies rarely win out even when other A10 schools offer. We're about to learn whether our cachet has improved.
