Congratulations to Jay on player of the year honors. I thought it would be fun to reminisce. When a player is special, you notice it immediately. It was like that with Nicholson. It was the same case with Jay. I’ll always remember a game he had as a Freshman: www.sports-reference.com/cbb/boxscores/2015-01-22-duquesne.html14 assists. 0 turnovers. Game winning jumper in OT. Consummate floor general. Fast forward to present day, and Jay is one of the best guards in the country. A name that still not enough people are talking about. I think Jay has a realistic shot at 2k points. This team is capable of a deep tournament run. Lastly, I’d like to thank Jacksonville University. Jay was set to be a Dolphin before they fired their head coach. He rererouted to Olean and the rest is history. #NotDoneYet That being said, a match up with Oklahoma and Tre would be my hope.

Did Jay grow in Sr. Year of HS ?....How did he go so lightly recuited. I recall Jay saying in an interview that he did continue to grow and size was a factor in his light recruiting. He was also part of a successful hs team. One classmate has been solid at Ohio State while another was recruited by Towson. Jay is the kind of player that makes his teammates better.

After watching open runs I've came to the conclusion that Jaylen could be a great player for us. He knows how to score he is a great scorer off the dribble and has great range. He is also a good playmaker. He tends to take poor shots here and there but he's got a lot of time to learn. Don't be surprised if this kid turns into an all conference player by the time he's a senior. Really? By the time he’s a senior?
