Yesterday there were times Youssou received a pass in the high post and he wasn't even guarded. Without knowing he was unguarded he quickly passed it out to the perimeter. As a senior, how can he be unaware he was unguarded?? Didn't see the game but if he was in "high post" not sure if "baby hook" works. Whatever the situation, you need offensive production from a 7 footer to compete in league play.

""but last year we all saw Youssou develop a post game, which included an effective baby hook. The question has to be, why haven't we seen a post game from Youssou so far this season. Yesterday there were times Youssou received a pass in the high post and he wasn't even guarded.""
Chuck - exactly - that may be the $100000 question of the season - where did Youssou's down low improvement go to? Especially against some of the smaller front lines of early season opponents. Didnt he have a foot injury over the summer ? perhaps that hindered development? perhaps losing PF Marquise Simmons hurts more than we expected? Even with no down low goto moves we want him out there for all the other things he brings to the table. Imagine how tough we would be given our outside shooting.

As JH asks, but why? You are right, Bonnies need Youssou's offensive post game if they are going to compete with top teams in A-10.

Chuck, then that's on the staff to get him looking to score. This team needs 10-12 ppg. from him to keep defenses honest.

You needs to be able to post up smaller guys (which, of course, is everyone who guards him) a few times a game at least. He doesn't need to be a dominant, first-choice offensive threat. But he needs to be put in spots where he can handle a soft lob pass and gracefully drop in a baby hook or short jumper. He has shown this ability in the past. So it's not as if he can't do this. The fact that it is not happening now can only be explained by some failure in game-planning.

A play against the zone could be You getting pass in high post with him ally oops pass to Wright or Greg at the rim. Similar to Van Passen to Cyrus back in the Baron days.

People complaining that a someone who blogs for the Bonnies was over confident going into the Binghamton game? Give me a break, for a while we were on the other end of that. people should be happy that we go into some games not only expected to win but expected to dominate. not saying that we always do but its good to have that feeling every now and then.
