I'm really happy how the recruiting process has evolved the past few years. It seemed we would only be able to get recruits that Bonas was their highest offer. Now, we're right in the thick of it with many recruits who have various offers from schools similar to ourselves. I especially like the guys that it seems we have a serious chance at. Kendrick Gray, Marcus Santos-Silva, Walter Whyte, Dominick Welch just to name a few. I'm also seeing on BONNIES FAN twitter page that combo guard Elijah Clarance will be on campus this weekend and SF Tshiefu Ngalakulondi has us in his top 2 and will be visiting September 23rd. It would be fantastic if we were able to land a pair of these guys. With the serious interest from recruits like these, the incoming freshman we've got coming in, and the team we've been putting on the court the past few season, I believe our future is bright! Ngalakulondi has moved his visit up to this Wednesday and wants to make his decision by next week. Sounds to me like he is set for Duquense but we have a chance steal him with this visit.

Sounds to me like he is set for DuquenseBased on WHAT? If he was set for Duquesne He would have cancelled all other visits and given Dukes a verbal - happens all the time. If I'm a Duquesne fan I know my staff pushed very had for a verbal and a cancel to St Bonas - they did not get it - but it sounds like to you he is in for the Duques? Chicken little falling from the sky too? Last I checked we won the A10 last year......

Shyhiem Hicks '17 (@thetown34) will take an official visit to St. Bonaventure next weekend #A10
Schmidt going back to his roots in Boston. This kid looks like a player. And he plays on a top Adidas AAU team in New England. And we are now an Adidas school.

I never even said if it was a good or bad thing if he ends up there - he may come for a visit and leave without an offer. That's happened more than a few times....

I talked with Ngalakulondi last night about the visit and where the Dukes now stand with him. “They are now in my top two schools (St. Bonaventure) and Yes, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The city was really eye opening. I like the coaching staff and right away they welcomed me. The campus was nice because it has that isolation of a real campus but also the city is right there too,” said Ngalakulondi. Ngalakulondi tells me that he plans on deciding before the end of the month. He’d be a tremendous get for Jim Ferry and his staff.http://pittsburghsportsnow.com/2016/09/07/wednesday-psn-notes/ He will visit the Bonnies on 9/23 Any chance we can conjure up a freak early blizzard for Olean on the 23rd?"

R.J. Cole, the 6-foot-1 Class of 2017 point guard at St. Anthony's, enjoyed his official visit to Monmouth this past weekend and is closing in on a college decision.
"It was a good one," he said of the visit. "I have the opportunity to play right away. Nothing is going to be handed to me. I still have to work hard. I like the coaching staff, the whole campus feel and the team accepts me. They're like family."
The Linden, N.J., native already visited Boston University and will trip to Howard this coming weekend. St. Bonaventure is also trying to get in the mix.
After this weekend, he will huddle with his family.
"After Sunday I'm going to sit down and talk with my parents," he said.
Cole will be the leading returning guard at St. Anthony's, which won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions title in 2016.
"He's the son of a coach and former point guard with tremendous understanding of the game and the position," St. Anthony's assistant Eric Harrield said. "R.J. has become a solid and dependable lead guard on both sides of the court who will only get better as he's a young senior. He's by far the most underrated point guard in the country."
