Disclaimer: This is independent of the video board because I don't know anything about it. The idea that because an organization has a limited budget means they should do things half-assed (my words not yours) is an opinion I don't share. While these types of organizations have to be careful about how they spend their money I'd rather they be strategic about creating significant improvements in limited (or single) areas instead of creating marginally incremental improvements everywhere. The consumers of the product whether its the players, fans, media, or casual bystanders will be more likely to recognize and reward a significant jump in a particular area vs a hundred 1% improvements. Again, this video board may be a significant upgrade, I have no idea, but using limited budget as a crutch for why we don't do anything great is a recipe for continued mediocrity. Thank you KA, unfortunately very few on this board understand this concept. I hope the video board is a worthy upgrade too, as a previous poster mentioned something like Providence would be great. Right. Only the truly elite on this board can understand the concept of a significant upgrade in facility accessories. Luckily we have you to let us know. Can't wait to hear if it meets your standards (unlike that eye sore of a scorer's table). ;-)

I am not, sneakers is taking shots at me for not liking the juco scorers table we wasted money on. I have no judgement on the impending video board.

No, I'm taking shots at you for saying that "unfortunately very few on this board understand this concept" A bit over the top, no?
As for the scorer's table, I think it was a significant help in getting the St Bonaventure name out there for televised matches and adds significantly to the value for sponsors to advertise at games. The scorer's table looks as good as any other I see on TV. We can agree to disagree on that, but there is no right and wrong answer to it. You are putting all Board members down saying that only a few of you can understand the concept of significant upgrades to accessories at the Riley Center. That is ridiculous and condescending.

The video board is a great addition to the RC and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for whom ever it was to donate it to SBU and the RC community!!!
Questions, - will it obstruct any of the view for the Red Seats? - what type of warranty goes with it? - if there are any breakdowns during its usage is there someone that can fix it then or will the Maytag repair man need to be called and invoice SBU? - what will be the estimated increase in the electrical bill?
AND if TK could have gotten the same amount of $$$ in donations then passed it along to the Coaches, staff and trainers would that have been a better usage of funds spent? Because now SBU is out a women B-ball coach, staff and trainers.
Just wondering.

Maybe remove the endzone bleachers and install the stations of the cross. Unfortunately TK doesn't seem to get it, with his secular education.

What makes a scorers table JUCO-quality? How about D1? Is there difference between MAAC and A10 scorer's tables...?

We could remodel sections 14 and sections 2 of the RC completely to recognize lives lost in the Irish Famine and the Armenian genocide. I'm thinking of a standing room only glass enclosed section with crosses, remembrances, maybe even documentaries played on loop in case people want to remember the Irish famine instead of watching the game. During the Annual matchup vs. University of Arkansas Monitcello you might have a lot of people scrambling for those sections. As long as its not a D3 or JUCO quality dedication section I think its a good idea.

Then during timeouts and halftime, there can be mass. Finally turn the Hall of Fame Room into a sort of conversion room where non Catholics attending can watch the game, but are indoctrinated with teaching of the Church with the opportunity to move into the big arena once they've converted.

If this is correct, people in end bleachers and possibly others in the corners will have to rely on the existing wall-mounted scoreboards.

1) Good to see you gave attribution (if you know what I mean). 2) I was also wondering about the 2nd class citizens in the endzones.

From what I have heard, there will also be new screens on the endzones That's great. Given the configuration of the RC, that's probably the best solution.

That's great. That way everyone can view the video commemorations of the Irish famine and Armenian genocide.
