My estimate is that the new video board is no lower than the old scoreboard. If anything it may be a bit higher.
Has anyone seen a ball hit the old board during a game?

If my memory serves me correctly, I thought someone hit it this year. Can't remember which game it was though.

Saw the video board after installation. It really doesnt hang that low, I dont think it would be even close to being an issue. I was trying to visualize how low the old board was and I think this board isnt as tall. It looks pretty nice, Id love to see it in full use to get a better idea but it should be a huge upgrade just to be able to see a few replays during the game and see more stats. Has anyone gotten word on the plan for replays? Are we upgrading our cameras/production? I can't imagine how bad a standard def. replay would look onwhat you would assume is an HD board.

Did you think to get a picture? IDK, but I think even I could hit it at that height.

Its really not low at all. Honestly I think it could be lower. Sure you could hit it if you tried but players wont be trying to.

While TK has shown he has the tendency to not really think things through...
He has done a nice job here and hired a top professional company who works with the NBA to build and install this thing, the idea that they would not consider height is pretty silly. I am pretty sure we can rest easy when it comes to height of the scoreboard.
Now if we want to talk about why we have a video board a few hundred people won't be able to view, that's another story.

Are you sure about that? It looks kinda low to me:

What would our department do if we didn't have the bandwagon to ensure that the new video board doesn't hang too low? I can't imagine that came up in any of the planning, renderings, design meetings, etc. with a professional company that does this for several basketball teams.

thebonafan08....Nothing to talk about except raising money to place endzone screens so those on the baselines can see.
Delighted that we put in place a much needed improvement that 95% of our fans can view. We have to thank Al Horton for his genorosity. I anticipate that endzone screens will be added in the future when funds are made available.

The video board is great, he s the job done for most of the crowd. It's about as much as we could hope for with the rush, sling it and see what sticks strategy TK champions.
