In a close game all missed chances count...coaching didn't prevent a win today. Last play of moving screen on Taquee was setting up Adams for a baseline three..that's coaching.

I wish somebody could get our coaches record in his career against top 100 schools?? Wins Losses 2007-08 1 10 2008-09 0 10 2009-10 1 12 2010-11 2 7 2011-12 6 10 2012-13 3 11 2013-14 4 9 2014-15 3 8 2015-16 6 4 2016-17 0 6 26 87 Top 100 per kenpom since coming to SBU. Extremely average if you take the first 3 years away.

Not that I want to go back to the pre Schmidt era.

The A10 should create a new stat...bendovers (aka bohicas). Bc NOBODY gets it up the kazoo like Dem Bonnies. NOBODY.

There are two ways a ref can be bad IMO either inconsistent (today's refs) or wants to be the star, one ref makes a bunch of calls while the other two are ok (I think the St. Joes game was the second).

"You have two choices - Phillips head or flat head"
"Why?"
"Because you are going to get screwed today."
I rarely post anymore, but read faithfully. And I loathe complaining about officiating. It makes one sound petty and whiney and you come off sounding like a sore loser. But if its a Saturday in February, we are taking it on the chin. Even my wife who has a fairer eye than me said she felt there were at least 10 calls or no calls that hurt us today.
Many previous posters have noted several calls that went against us and I won't repeat them. One that I noticed that hasn't been mentioned yet was late in the second as Mobley as making a cut out front from the right side around the top of the key and right about the top of the key he took an elbow to the face that made his head recoil backward. That means the elbow from the UD player was above the shoulder. That's a flagrant two shot T and cause for ejection. Obviously, there was no call.
Up 26-11 in the first, we went into a drought that allowed Dayton to get right back in it.
Jay was amazing today. 35 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and only two TOs. He needed help though. Matt was 5 under his average and struggled to get open looks. Denzel's 8 after exploding for 28 vs LaSalle was a factor also.
Run the table in the last 4 and let's see what happens in Pittsburgh.
Our guys got the shaft today. I am sick of seeing Archie bitch along with Pollard.
Go to NCST, Arch.

Two more points.
Jay's last three was from the Ohio-Indiana border. Sick.
Dayton made 20 of 27 FTs in the second half. Granted, some of those were made as we were fouling trying to extend the game, But, really? 20 of 27?

Overall I'm good with their effort and performance today. Trend is still in a positive direction. Yes, could have won..just as in about 4-6 other games this season but that's who we are. I'm optimistic in the final push.

We watched the game at Reilly's North End Pub in Hilton Head today. There was a George Mason grad seated behind us waiting for the GMU URI game to come on after our game. He was amazed at JA.

Bonnie's will win 20 games. St Bona is Tournament ready. I wouldn't be surprised to see st Bona in the A10 finals. Rev the engines. Pittsburg will be fun.

We will always be just about where we are cuz of Schmidt! He is one of the worst of in game adjustments, we took a 15 point lead then Archie mad an adjustment, and Schmidt never responded back. I will eat my crow about Adams, he is elite, and our coach isn't! I wouldn't be surprised if Adams is out of here next year, guy probably wants to go dancing, and with our coaches track record 1 NCAA tourney in 15 seasons! you are a joke. Schmidt is a good coach you ARE A LOSER

When the refs are this bad, I have to wonder if the league has told them that we need to get two teams into the dance, so make sure Dayton wins. It's the only explanation I can think of that would explain calls this bad. If it wasn't for the 3 blind men, Bonas would have won rather easily today. All the bickering about who did this or that right or wrong is meaningless with officiating like this. We were robbed every bit as much as in the VCU game.

Bonnies went all out against the deepest and most talented team in the A10 on their court before 13,000+ rabid hometown fans. They almost came away with a win and Jay demonstrated that he's back in the groove and a rare talent. I am going to stop playing the numbers game and just enjoy watching these kids play through the last 4 games and the A10 tourney. The team is playing its best ball of the season, so this could be very exciting indeed.
