alarming only 7 assists. The second half was just horrible to watch. If we made 3/4 of the missed bunnies it actually woulda been pretty close. The tough part of this 4 game stretch is, I think, we all apparently had too high of expectations. Gotta re-group and put together a bunch of wins now

I do like the Bonnies chances in the rematch.
Last year, the Bonnies were manhandled. No other way to put it.
This year, I don’t think there’s as big of a gap. Bonas has 2 great guards. RI has 5 or 6 guards that are interchangeable. They just rotate them in and out. Bonnies don’t have that luxury. Instead you have Adams and Mobley laboring to get buckets.

Bonnies have 7 assists to 22 made field goals. URI has16 assists to 29 made field goals. The offense needs to be more disciplined, but individually I think we are hurt by the one dimensional games several of our players have. There just doesn't seem to be any set plays and no element of surprise when someone other than Adams or Mobley gets the ball. Every defender knows what is going to happen. Guard the Adams/Mobley tandem close and pack the lane. I really cannot overstate how much I agree with this sentiment. There has been a seeming lack of rythym on offense for long stretches all year. In out of conference it was first chalked up, for me, to Jay being out, then after that to playing down to the level of their opponents. But it’s happened consistently enough where it’s a concerning weakness. The thing about set plays really sticks out. We have stretches of looking explosive, but it’s always countered by stretches of looking lost in the offensive sets.

Don’t waive the white flag just yet. After Davidson, we get Saint Joe’s, GW, @mason, @duquesne, SLU and Richmond.
We could easily win five of those six games, even if we start 2-4, we’d be 7-5. Not an ideal start, but would be in position for a top four spot. I have to assume 11 wins gets you the 4 seed this year.

The other thing I've noticed often this season is other teams getting good looks for 3 from their guards. It seems Adams and Mobley have been struggling to get open looks. We NEED those two shooting threes for our offense to be most effective. That has to go to coaching.

Bona can ill afford to be stuck in a deep hole. Aside from GW, I cannot say with any certainty the club is a lock to win. Not the manner in which they have stumbled out of the blocks on the road lately. Doggone we all want better for these guys, but right now it is an underachieving club that cannot be refuted.

For many including myself after our UMASS win that scenario is raising the white flag. I wanted second/third round or bust.

It's tough to say any game is a for sure win!! We don't play defense at all anymore, and that's on coach and his troops wanting to engage in that end

Yeah Jay3hof and that is why so many Bona backers are puzzled. The D has gone AWOL and until or unless it is found, more disappointment will result.

This I know -- those two clubs will battle Bona tooth and nail. Scrappy ballclubs, play hard.
Dambrot should be COY contender, he has turned the Dukes into a foe one must not trifle with.

To go further on the assist talk, of the 7, only ONE assist in the second half! Too much one on one, of the pieces lacking on this team, no one has shown they can pick this team up on their shoulders and carry them too victory. I thought there was still a chance to "pull" this season out starting with a victory at Davidson, but we also need wins at ST. LOUIS, LASALLE, & VCU, but it seems of late AYENI, TAQQEE, and IKPEZE' s game time has been getting less & less so the same "horses" are getting road for too long and as it appeared in the second half of today's game it is starting to catch up with this team and any consistent winning streak will not be achieved.

I think we again lack enough from the bench to win in this league. To play uptempo and relentless defense you have to sub. Give some time to Chef what is there to lose at this point. Any freshman that is good gets in some.
