Rumored he was asked to leave the program for stealing. Nothing ever proven and to his credit Jim O'Brien the coach at the time never made it a big thing in the press. Some girl caught him and the laptop was in his backpack. Plus wasnt he found guilty in court ? He had to pay a $415 fine and do X number of hours of community service. Similar to Jermaine Calvin and Jourdan Morris, they stole numerous things around campus I hear. Go Bonnies !!!

I don't even think lap tops existed when Alvin Lott was a student.
Stop with the rumors already. Trash a person and then say "I hear"? That's BS.

Yea. He was kind of retarted I hear. Likely wouldve failed out anyway (not quite as stupid as Dave Fox was though) Go Bonnies!! First and foremost, the word you tried to use to describe Delonte Taylor's intelligence is offensive to many, particularly to parents of children having mental disorders and syndromes. Secondly, the fact that you misspelled the word tells us more about you than Mr. Taylor, and is funny in a sad sort of way. Go Bonas! Please disregard him. This pinata-faced idiot has been at Bona's for a good length of time himself. I'll give him until the first of the year until he's banned from every Bona board known to man, at which time he can focus his efforts on graduating and being America's Next Top Proactive Model.

I do have to admit the individual who posted that they thought Alvin Lott stole a laptop did make me laugh. That is unless the laptop was a commodore pet or Vic 20.
That being said, if I remember correctly Mr. Lott had been reselling footware that was given to the team. At that time the administration likened it to stealing and Mr. Lott resigned from the program and went on to play at Iona.
Again, this is simply my recollection and it's possible that I may be off the mark so if anyone has better information please feel free to correct me.

Hey 99peaches what does eating at the Clubhouse Restaurant funny movies, Jay Leno and funny comedians have to do with Taylor stealing a laptop.

Not to keep beating an already dead horse, but as I was looking for a story about the Hampton game in the OTH (none there!!!!) I read Vinny P's column on Taylor leaving.
Vinny stated that Taylor had not played organized ball for the two years prior to signing with SBU last spring.
That strikes me as odd - can anyone confirm that?
Why would the staff take that chance?

az63 - If I remember correctly, Taylor had a serious knee or leg injury that took quite some time to rehab. He did take a long break from organized basketball for that reason.

GoPadres- thanks for the info. I'm 2200 miles from the action so need to get input from those closer to campus.
