Glad we showed up to play today. Watching this makes me want to puke. Our defense is terrible and cannot defend against the three.

Yeah it doesnt help that we still are not getting it going offensively. If it wasnt for Andrew's blocks and good D we would be down 30

Duquesne is shooting 54% from the field and 50% from 3 going 10 of 20 so far. Cant let teams shoot that well but i guess if we were shooting uncontested 3s we might go 10 of 20

This is making me sick. Duq played too many good non-conference teams this year. They dont miss and the rare time that they do, we can not capitalize on it. Lets learn and move on! It doesnt get easier from here with St. Joes and Xavier coming to town!
Lets Improve Bonas!!

This is uncalled for. There's no reason for us to be getting blown out of the water by a team in our own conference at home. And I don't care if the students aren't there. Good teams win no matter where they're at or who's there. I have a lot of respect for Duquesne and everything, but c'mon. This isn't a top 25 team we're facing. It's Duquesne.

Gotta put this one behind us as quickly as possible. Given the other A-10 results today(losses for both Dayton & RI) I wouldn't be surprised if the Dukes make a run at 2nd place in the league. No worse than 4th or 5th. I think they were helped by their superior non-conference schedule and they certainly gave coach Schmidt plenty of teaching video. Go Bonas- beat St. Joe's!

We have the flu right ? I mean , every guy on our team, right ?
Or maybe they were neutered ? That's why they look like they don't give a shi- that the Dukes are slapping them around in our builing. And, oh yeah, all of our guys had lobotomies recently and that explains all the stupid, stupid basketball ?
We throw more bad/lazy/dumb passes in one game than most decent college teams do in a season. Mathews, Eleby - come on ! Time to make the team run punishing suicides for every bad pass those 2 throw. You gotta do something to make it stop. UGH !!!!
We can't hit our 3's during the game, but hey, we're pretty good in garbage time.
Which player is the leader of this team ? Do we have one ?
We have C/C+ A-10 point guards.
Eleby/Mathews make one bad play after another and they stay on the court. Mo Thomas, who actually played early like he cared if we won or lost, is yanked for loooong stretches. I didn't see what mortal sin Mo commited. What did I miss ?
What happened to the Bonnie team that played Marist ? Pushing the ball, guys cutting, moving without the ball, SMART passes, PASSION ? The Dukes ran offense against us like we ran it on Marist
Why is it that we have such a smart coach (and I believe we do) and we play such dumb basketball ?
Sorry, very frustrated after watching that debacle.

Coach never came out for the post-game interview. Hope he's in there tearing the team a new one - they need it.
You're right bartmitchell, I bet the team WILL be running suicides as soon as the arena clears out tonight.

We will not progress further plain and simple without an improvement at the 1. Go back to the 80s and every single team that had a Shandue/Winn/Green was better than every single team that didn't, with the anomoly of Green's unfortunate senior year.
Really missing the go-to scoring promise of Leonard, I think that was a huge blow. Leonard plus better point guard = postseason. Until then, the blowouts will not be occasional.
Maybe the Hawks will be worn out from triple OT, but I somehow doubt it.

Right on Bart. My only disagreement is about Thomas. I would have had him on the bench, too. Unless he was instucted to park his ass under the basket while on defense and only move out on his man after he launched a (usually successful) 3, then at least putting him on th bench got his ass moved to another part of the court.
In general, I thought the team plays lazy too often - for most of yesterday's game and every game when they get a 10+ point lead. There is no leader (like a Tyler Relph) to fire them up.

Bart the reason Mo was on the bench is exactly what sbu79 said. He couldnt get his butt out and guard the Clark kid on the perimeter. Mo would leave to help stop penetration and they would kick out to Mo's man who would drain a 3. Thomas and Matthews are just awful at guarding their man in the open court. Chris cannot keep a guard in front of him and is too small to guard a 3 or 4 guy. I really expected Chris to be more of a leader, but he very rarely talks or shows any encouragement to his teammates. Right now we lack a real leader on this team. I hope someone steps up and assumes that role.
