As Schmidt likes to put it "he likes to keep one in his pocket" because he never know what is going to be available this summer. Well rumor has it there are too many players for just 2 scholarships. Do not think he will be saving a scholarship this summer.
Rumor has it the Bonnies really like Kelvin Agee of Niagara Falls and along with his dad likes Bonas. Hopefully students can help us with any news on visits from recruits.

Agee looks like a real solid player. Niagara Falls has been a hotbed of D-1 talent in the last few years. A couple local guys like Agee and House would help put some fans in the seats, too. www.buffalonews.com/120/story/640723.html#T4

The kid I saw sure looked like Renaldo Dixon. 6-9 PF that played at Zion Lutheran in Deerfield Beach, Fl. Another name that has been mentioned is Dwight Powell, I don't believe it was him. There was not another "big" that I saw...
Another kid was there hanging with Relph, about 6-3 and stocky built. Also, Ahmad Smith was in playing pick-up with the team, he's still got game...

It is reported that Renaldo Dixon is a friend of Andrew Nicholson. Barry Hayes at Hoopstars ranked Renaldo as the top center from Canada for 2009 (link at the bottom). Below is a brief profile of his game from Full Court Press: Renaldo Dixon 6’8” 2009 Zion Lutheran (Deerfield Beach FL) Athletic forward is active around the basket and can finish with authority. Nebraska, Miami FL, Memphis and St. John’s are among the schools showing interest for this Toronto native who is among the best available 2010 forwards still available. www.hoopstarscanada.com/news.pl?nid=39www.fullctpress.net/09sweet16report1.html

Ro Russell is involved with Dixon also - from an April article -
Canadian 2009 post man Renaldo Dixon had a strong showing for Belmont Shores against the Illinois Warriors. Dixon's regular travel team coach Ro Russell listed Memphis, South Florida, Florida State, Providence and St. Bonaventure's as schools interested in Dixon. A decent but not great athlete, Dixon has a feel for the game and is pretty skilled. There will likely be a lively recruiting battle to land this high major prospect this spring.

Adidas Super 64 (Part 2)
Saturday, 26 July 2008 By Brian Crownover
Still in Vegas CAA Insider went over to the Adidas Super 64. There were some loaded AAU teams at this event. Here is part 2 of the player evaluations from the Adidas Super 64.
Grassroots Canada
Jason Calliste (2009, 6-2 PG/SG) Jason made a couple plays in this game. He scored early in transition. From the outside, he buried a three pointer. He showed a smooth stroke in doing so. Jason also had a beautiful lazer pass.
Renaldo Dixon (2009, 6-8 PF) Renaldo is a big and athletic forward. He didn't make a lot of plays, but really showed great leaping ability with an athletic throw down.

Saw Dixon Saturday walking around the Spring Weekend festivities with Schmidt and a few players. Looked to be enjoying the site of hundreds of students drunk and having one of the best times of their lives. Great marketing by Schmidt bringing him in this weekend when the campus becomes a 3-day outdoor party.

Think he'll be impressed by hundreds of drunk students? If he is maybe he wouldn' be that good of a get.

That is actually what sold me on Bonas. I don't think it was officially "spring weekend", but it was a beautiful spring day and the students were all hanging outside playing frisbee, hacky sack, softball, laying out in the son, a keg on the Dev fire escape (and at several other locations), friendly students all saying hi and quite welcoming. When I got home from my trip to see several colleges, that atmosphere was what stuck in my mind and I decided to become a Bonnie.
I'm psyched that Schmidt uses this atmosphere in his recruiting!
