I highly doubt they will come in to record a scrimmage.
Also, does anyone know when the Allaccess will be covering Rugby. That would be great to watch online

Scrimmage is closed to the public. Only staff and players. Hopefully we play better this year than last, heard that we did not fare well in last years game.

will the all access staff use this as training for this season? This is a crack-pot org that really serves small market teams that never get on TV. For what you pay for a year subscription do you really think they would invest time or money into showing a scrimmage as practice?

What did you expect; for him to say they got their butts kicked by Bona today ? I wouldn't put much weight in Twitter posts from opposing players, especially from a scrimmage.
By teh way, were there any Twitter updates from our side ? Players ? Coaches ? Same thing here "for what its worth', just wondering; because I still haven;t figured out how to do those twitter or Facebook things.

I talked with one of the members of the coaching staff and he said they looked a little sloppy during the scrimmage. We always look sloppy in the scrimmage tho. He still seemed supremely confident about this team. I wouldn't be too worried. Cleveland St. will be a real measuring stick for this team I think.

First of all I never take too much stock into these scrimmages. The substitution patterns don't reflect actual game situations, and I think the teams ask the refs to call the games in order to teach proper defense, as opposed to letting the players play with any physicality.
The team looked very sloppy in the 15-20 minutes I was able to watch. In the two separate instances that I got to check them out, they found themselves down by 20+ points by a faster, sharp shooting UB team. UB pushed the ball fast on offense and our guys looked slow to get back. When UB wasn't pushing the ball, they were moving the ball around the perimeter quickly and shooting open-look 3's...and rarely missing.
On the Bonnies offensive end you could usually count on a bad pass, sloppy ball handling or traveling violation to turn the ball the other way without even getting a shot off.
It looked like Matthews and Roseboro both sat out. As expected, McGloster didn't get in either.
Ogo looked quick but didn't look quick enough to create his own offense. Michael Davenport is quicker to pull the trigger from deep and had moderate success knocking down the 3. Hall still makes some dumb turnovers out of force, and even got called for a 5-second call by not using his initial dribble. Didn't see Eleby play much but from what I saw he looks quicker and more confident with the ball in his hands.

Down by 20 to UB? This is very disheartening. I'd hate to think how far they'd be behind in a real game. Let's hope it was a case of first game jitters.

UB is predicted by many magazines to finish 2nd in their division in the MAC this year. They are much more experienced at the guard positions than SBU is and decent sized & experienced frontcourters. The BONNIES have 6 new faces, we may be experiencing some road bumps at the start.

I think it is unwise to put much, if any stock in scrimmages or exhibitions. Coaches are less concerned about winning and more about finding the right combinations of players that work well together. Substitution patterns are erratic (Solomon-esque if you will). If I remember correctly a team that featured Bremer, Green and Gansey nearly got beat by some group of traveling of basketball wash ups (GT Express, maybe?).
