Yes WEST END I agree, I was just in a roundabout way trying to see what their recruiting preference was in the future is, JUCOs VS transfers.

I have seen many questionable calls go our way at the RC and never heard the complaints I am hearing here. Highly doubt anyone can find a discrepancy of 41-15 free throws attempted in a game played in the Reilly Center, but in a different thread I showed it is a common occurrence at Illinois St. Actually I remember another game with a similar disparity in free throws. It was the Bonnies final four game against Jacksonville. Jacksonville attempted 45 free throws to 22 for the Bonnies. In Unfinished Dreams, every player spoke about being cheated by the refs. To think there was even a larger disparity in fouls shots in last night's game. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?replayId=99

Just one quick thought on the officiating:
It's part of the game. There will be a game down the line this season that the Bonnies will win because of gracious officiating. Remember the game against Albany in the RC when Albany didn't attempt one free throw? We'll get ours down the line.

Remember the game against Albany in the RC when Albany didn't attempt one free throw? We'll get ours down the line. Remember Will Brown being furious with the game and announcing he'll never play another game in the Reilly Center. Foul shooting discrepancy was only 12 shots (12-0). This is extremely pale in comparison to the 26 shots from the foul line in the Illinois State game. Wonder how upset Brown would have been if the difference in free throws was 26 instead of 12? sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273420179

Yes WEST END I agree, I was just in a roundabout way trying to see what their recruiting preference was in the future is, JUCOs VS transfers. I expect a senior to be a senior, regardless of how he got there. I expect things like leadership, poise and good decision making, none of which particularly stand out in watching Hall, especially late in yesterday's game. Don't get me wrong, either - John Hall is a good player. I like Hall, and I really don't like the whole "JUCO" label, but seldom has a player been more fitting of the unstructured, playground, offensive-minded stereotype that that accompanies JC transfers. To answer sipowicz's question, I'd rather have a transfer from a four-year. I think a lot can be said for a player growing up in the structure of another D-I program and the off-the-court benefits that come with D-I basketball. If a player is going to transfer to our program, he's probably going to transfer down a level from a BCS, like Matthews, Relph, Moe Young or Kevin Houston, or it will be a lateral move from a comparable conference, like McGloster or Greese Thomas. Things like academic preparation, weight training and having already played at a high level, things players don't always get in JC ball, allow four-year transfers to find success amid the expectations of the D-I level and the Atlantic 10.

While we're on the topic, I heard McGloster is an immediate fill-in for Hall after this season. That is, he can step in and score in the same ways that Hall does except with better control. Anybody else hear these reports?
