Its seems enough people has spotted him at Allegany's favorite watering hole on a saturday night the OP, now what are the odds he signs on the dotted line with Bonas? Does anyone have any insight on if that will happen or not? I agree with JH's post, Frantz seems to be a much better player than McGee. Also, was there a 6'10 visitor as well this weekend?

One game story on Frantz from last season at Vincennes in Indiana:
Blazers have strong effort vs. Flo Val
MOBERLY, Mo. - Frantz Dorsainvil's career game and Kris Clark's superb ball-handling and clutch free throw shooting was enough to carry sluggish Vincennes University past Florissant Valley, 86-74, in the Moberly Classic on Friday.
Dorsainvil dominated with a career-high 25 points to go with a game-high 10 rebounds. Clark dished out several assists and hit 10 free throws among his 13 points, making six straight in the final two minutes.
It was the fourth consecutive win for the Trailblazers (7-1), but it wasn't a pleasing performance. Florissant Valley (4-4), a Division II school, was within five points with two minutes remaining.
“It goes in the win column, but maybe we should put this win in a different column,” VU coach Everick Sullivan said. “The best team didn't win the game. They played better than we did and they were hungrier than we were.
“We played like we were supposed to win.”
The Blazers never trailed, but couldn't put the Norsemen away until the very end.
VU started strongly in the second half, turning a 35-31 halftime lead to 59-46 on Darral Payton's three-point play with 11 minutes remaining.
Florissant Valley made a mini-charge. The Blazers retaliated and Dorsainvil's reverse three-point play - a free throw followed by a rebound basket off his missed second free toss -- gave them a 71-59 edge with six minutes to go.
The Norsemen didn't give in. Eric Henry and Anthony Jones hit 3-pointers in a 12-5 rush to get within 76-71 with 2:20 remaining.
DeAndre Byrd scored underneath off a pass from Clark. Then Clark cashed in six straight free throws to squelch Flo Valley's rally.
In the second half, Dorsainvil had 17 points and eight rebounds and Clark scored 10.
“We need Frantz to play every game like he played the second half,” Sullivan said. “He was a presence inside and he hit his free throws. If he can play like that, then the other guys can follow his lead.
“Kris continues to improve. I was really pleased with her performance,” Sullivan said.
D'Ante Harris kept the Blazers afloat in the opening half. He scored all of his season-high 13 points in the first half, helping VU build a 35-31 lead.
Henry scored 19 to pace the Norsemen, who impressed Sullivan.
“We couldn't shake them. They're tough and they scrapped to stay in it,” Sullivan said.
“We talk about good teams doing the detail things, the little things. We didn't do any of the details in this game.”
Both teams used 12 players and showed off their deep benches. Florissant Valley's reserves scored 41 of its 74 points, while VU's bench had 31 of its 86 points.

Am I reading this correctly? He started only 19 of the 32 games? Was he hurt?

I am more than a little worried. I would have thought that if he had signed, an anouncement would have been made by now.

Mangham, might they be taking their time because of eligibility issues? I think I count 3 prep schools before his JUCO career and more than one site asked academic standing. I would love to have him if he is eligible and we hear about his signing soon.

Yes, Frantz started 19 games & averaged 20mpg. No indication of injuries. Additional stats to those already posted: 20 blocks, 11 steals, 72 TOs. On a very balanced scoring team Frantz was tied as leading team scorer. His 7rpg were team’s best. The team accumulated 13 “Ts” & Frantz had 3 of them. Coach Dan Sparks is 706-193 which is #1 in state history (Knight is 661-240). Published excerpts on Frantz: 05-06 NJCAA All Regional Xii Div I Team. 2003 – Dave Telep ranked him # 21 among “Best Unrecruited” when at the Winchendon School. 2005 – Ranked #3 NJ Juco Soph playing out of state (Hoops Newsletter). 8-23-03 the 30th best prep player in his class (Hoop Scoop). 11-17-03 “… one of the more talented big men left in the 2004 class…..academics holding him back…If he learned how to play hard all the time he would be a monster” (Inside Hoops.com). 2002 # 15 in NJ after his Junior year (Hoops Newsletter)

Thanks wgt (great reponse)! I suppose I subscribe to Chuck Pollock, Marv Levy's theory. Perhaps unrealistically, I am looking for that JUCO signee that is dominating at that level!

Hi. I visit your site regularly for info, however I'm actually a Providence grad & a regular poster on their site (aka TheInfoMan). I post here since I have followed Frantz Dorsainvil for (3) years and know a bit about his game.
To answer a previous poster's question about his games/games started ratio, I can say this: Frantz began the year as a starter, and then became #1 off the bench. Oddly, when this happened his production went UP. This is especially true of the season's last (8) to (10) games when his performance & stats peaked.
He would be a good player for you if he signs aboard. Good luck to him and your program!!

I really need an education in how a player who doesnt start for his own Junior College team is expected to be a significant addition to one in the A-10. If it is unrealistic to add a player whose talent stood out in the overall juco ranks, shouldnt it at least be expected that the player in question was dominant on his own team?
Someone enlighten me.

well, he didn't always start on a 26-6 team that was ranked all year. He led the team in points and rebounds. Schools recruiting him are ALL high major programs(Big East, SEC, Big Ten)!
I guess that about says it all!

I'm hoping we've got a diamond in the rough here but this one smells like a Yankuba Camara.

Orange - Ask yourself how Kevin McHale is in the NBA Hall of Fame when he was the Celtics sixth man for most of his career, and I think you will answer your own question. There are plenty of exceptional players in high school, college and the NBA that play the role of the sixth man.
